Amazon Pay Now Offers Bill Payment Facility And Is Now Integrated With BHIM And Paytm

Amazon India has powered Amazon Pay to help its users pay their bills by enabling a single-click bill payment experience through this platform. Amazon.in is also offering cash back on payments made. BHIM, Paytm, and Google have already integrated the payment service by Amazon onto their respective sites.

Bill Payments through Amazon Pay

The biggest online retailer, Amazon, recently introduced bill payments to the Indian leg of its Amazon Pay platform. The Indian user now can use Amazon Pay to pay their landline, broadband, electricity, postpaid mobile, and gas bills online. The bill payment facility encompasses over 100 billers like Tata Power, BSES, BSNL, BESCOM, Airtel, Reliance Jio, Vodafone, Hathaway, ACT Fibernet, MGL, and IGL.

Amazon Pay also allows its users to enable the one-click bill payment experience. Amazon.in has formed a collaboration with select billing vendors like DTH and telecom operators to offer their customers exclusive promotional offers and discounts on payments of bills and recharge.

Amazon Pay Discounts and Cashbacks

Beyond this, paying electricity bill through Amazon Pay would net the customer a 10% cashback of a maximum of Rs.75. Payment of postpaid, broadband, and landline bills too earn a customer a 10% discount up to a maximum of Rs.50. According to Amazon India, prepaid recharge of a minimum of Rs.198 can get the user a discount of Rs.50, and a prepaid recharge for a minimum Rs.398 plan can get the subscriber a Rs.75 discount on first recharge and Rs.30 on subsequent recharges.

Shariq Plasticwala, Payments Director, said that the introduction of bill payments on Amazon reiterates the company’s allegiance to their Indian customers to offer them several new classifications as well as a wider range of services.

He stated that the company will continue to come up with new ways to simplify payments for its customer base in India. For the same, he informed, Amazon now has brought in all the big vendors across telecom and basic service providers under its Amazon Pay umbrella.

Amazon Pay joins the rank of Samsung Pay, BHIM, Google Pay or Google Tez, and Paytm, in offering their platform to customers to help make their online postpaid, gas, landline, and electricity bill payments.
