Today is a good day for buyers of smartphones and smart TVs. The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi will hold a flash sale of its popular Redmi Note 5 Pro, as well as the smart TVs Mi TV 4 and Mi TV 4A. Mi Store offers include a free subscription of three months to Hungama music app, an insurance plan for Rs 999, Jio prepaid 4G offers where you get Rs 2,200 in cashback vouchers for recharge and additional 4.5TB data, spread over several recharge coupons to be credited and used only in the MyJio app.
Mi TV 4, Mi TV 4A: Price in India, Offers
The Mi TV 4 comes only in 55-inch display model and can be bought on Mi Store and Flipkart today for Rs 44,999. Offers at Flipkart include EMIs starting Rs 1,495 per month, and Rs 200 off on using Axis Bank Buzz credit card. There are better offers at Mi Store, including free subscription for 3 months to Sony LIV and ACT Fibernet (select plans only), and a three-month subscription to Hungama Play.
The Mi TV 4A comes in 32-inch and 43-inch display models, and will sell today for Rs 13,999 (32-inch) and Rs 22,999 (43-inch).
The Rs 200 off on Axis Bank Buzz credit card offer applies here as well, but that’s about it from Flipkart. At Mi Store, you will get Rs 2,200 instant cashback if you buy JioFi and Jio Prime membership. There are 3-month free subscriptions to Sony LIV, Act Fibernet, and Hungama Play. Both the Mi TV 4 and Mi TV 4A are limited to Black colour option only.
Redmi Note 5 Pro: Specifications, Features
The Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with an internal storage of 64GB that is expandable to 128GB, but only in one RAM capacity, which is 4GB. The budget handset has a 20MP selfie shooter and a 12Mp+5MP dual rear camera unit. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor with speeds up to 1.8GHz, and sports a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display. The camera features include Beautify 4.0, electronic image stabilization, large pixel size, face unlock, 4500K selfie light, and phase-detection autofocus.
Connectivity features include dual SIM 4G VoLTE support, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, and microUSB. The phone gets its fingerprint scanner on the rear panel and packs a 4,000 mAh battery.
Mi TV 4, Mi TV 4A: Specifications, Features
The Mi Smart TV 4 is claimed to be the world’s thinnest LED television set, with an ultra-thin display panel that measures only 4.9 mm. The frame on this TV is also nearly bezel-less, so you get an all-screen kind of display. The television comes with 4K and HDR image technology, making colours outstandingly vivid. There is dts-HD-supported Dolby Audio in the TV unit, so you get a sound system that gives something of a theatre feel. This smart TV is powered by the flagship Amlogic 64-bit quad-core processor that comes with a Mali-T830 MP2 graphics card. The smart TV is Android based, with 2GB RAM and 8GB storage. Refresh rate is 60 Hz and the speakers are two, each with 10W output. Bluetooth is 4.0 version and WiFi is 802.11 a/b/g/n.
The smaller Mi TV 4A smart television sets, on the other hand, do not come with 4K video displays. They get Full HD LED displays with Blu-Ray movies support, with 1920×1080 screen resolution. The refresh rate is the same 60 Hz but the speaker output is a higher 20W. While the WiFi version is the same, these smaller TVs miss out on Bluetooth, and instead get one extra HDMI and USB port each, which means they come with 3 HDMI and 3 USB ports. The processor is also the same and the Mi TV 4, but the RAM is smaller at 1 GB, while the graphics card is also a lower-end Mali-450 MP3. The internal storage is the same at 8GB.
All the three televisions in all of their variants can be controlled from the user’s smartphone, and a single remote for both the TV and the dish cable network.
