As the app has received a lukewarm response from users, Idea has decided to come out with updates to improve the user experience.

Idea Music is the company’s proprietary music app and is designed to compete with the likes of Saavn, Gaana, and other music streaming platform. The company has just given an update for the app that bumps the app’s version to 3.0.0. This update is the app’s most significant one this year, as it brings a plethora of changes and new features to it.
The update now brings a brand new user interface to the app and changes the way users interact with the app. Apart from this other features including a floating music player as well as better music discovery options for users. The app and its functionality are similar to Bharti Airtel’s Music app. This app is also similarly free and available only for prepaid and post-paid users of Idea Cellular, much like Airtel.

The most visible change brought by 3.0.0 update is the user interface, which is friendlier and well designed. Apart from being a visual improvement, the app’s usability has also improved as users can now stream music easier than ever before. The homepage gets a complete revamp, as it now comes with a slider that displays the latest music albums that have been launched in a carousel.
This update also comes with top 20 recently released songs, latest hits, new releases as well as trending artists.
The floating player is another great addition to the app and is very similar to floating music players in all other music streaming apps. Previously music used to be displayed in a bar at the top of the screen, where users could see what songs were playing and could change tracks or play the next track.
Now, this feature has been revamped to a floating player that consumes far less space and also looks easy on the eye. The floating player also drags and drop meaning users can place it wherever they want on the screen.

Another key addition to the app is the offline mode, where users can download songs onto their phones and then play it later without the need for internet data.
