Motorola announced its much-anticipated Motorola One Power in India yesterday, on September 24. The Android One device is a great offering from the company in the mid-tier smartphone segment. Being an Android One device, the smartphone was to get the Android 9.0 Pie update sooner or later and it looks like it’s about to happen. Motorola will be launching its Pie soak testing program for the newly-launched device.
Motorola One Power: Android 9 Pie Beta Update
According to Product Manager at Motorola Mobility, Abhishek Kumar, the company will start opening up soak test registrations by mid-October. The stable Android 9.0 Pie update for Motorola One Power has been scheduled to come out by the end of 2018, but the users will be able to test a developer preview starting next month. The final date for registrations has not been confirmed yet but it’s sometime in October. The early adopters will get to experience the update and will be able to provide feedback on issues and bugs.
Abhishek Kumar also showed tidbits of the latest Android update running on the handset and the user interface is reportedly similar to the one on Google Pixel devices. The company also confirmed that Motorola One Power will receive regular Google security patches update for at least the next three years.

The Motorola One sports a tall 6.2-inch Full HD+ LCD Max Vision with a 2246 x 1080 resolution, and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The device also features a notch at the top of the display, allowing it to attain a screen-to-body ratio of 81.7 percent. Under the hood, the Motorola One Power is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset, which paired with an Adreno 509 GPU. The One Power offers 4GB RAM and an onboard storage of 64GB making sure to sail smoothly while performing day to day bits on the device. You may choose to expand the onboard storage by up to 256GB as the smartphone features dedicated microSD card slot as well.
Coming to the optics, the Motorola One Power sports a dual camera set up at the back comprising a 16MP primary and a 5MP depth-sensing unit. On the front, there is an impressive 12MP camera for selfies and video calling needs. The camera at back is accompanied by a dual-LED and dual-tone flash. The primary sensor is coupled with f/1.8 aperture and large 1.12-micrometre pixels and it also gets phase-detection autofocus. You can shoot slow motion HD videos and even Full HD+ 2160p quality videos with One Power.
Like most of the budget mid-range device, the One Power also comes with a fingerprint scanner at the back of the device. One of the major highlights of the Motorola One Power is its massive 5000mAh battery that comes with 15W fast charging called TurboPower charging. This technology from Motorola will provide the smartphone with six hours of power in just 15 minutes of charging. This Motorola One Power feature along with the huge battery takes on every other smartphone in its price segment.
The connectivity options that tag along with the Motorola One Power include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac/a/b/g/n, a USB Type-C charging port, Bluetooth 5.0 with LE a 3.5mm headphone jack, and GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS.

Motorola One Power: Price in India
The Motorola One Power has been priced in India at Rs. 15,999 and the device is exclusively available at Flipkart. The registrations for the purchase of the device has already begun and it is scheduled to go on sale on October 5 at 12 PM.
