HMD Global formally launched the Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 Plus Android One smartphones in India at an event held last month. However, the company had not revealed the pricing and availability details for the more affordable Nokia 5.1 Plus at the launch event. These details were finally revealed by the company today.

The Nokia 5.1 Plus has been priced at Rs.10,999 In India. It will be available in two colors in India – Gloss Black and Midnight Gloss Blue.

If you are interested in getting a Nokia 5.1 Plus, you will be able to pre-order the smartphone starting today on the Nokia India online store. The budget Android smartphone will be going on sale in India on October 1 via Flipkart as well as the Nokia India online store.

Nokia 5.1 Plus: Specifications, Features

The Nokia 5.1 Plus features a high-gloss body with CNC-machined metal camera bezels that give it a bold touch. Both the front and rear panels feature 2.5D curved glass, similar to the more expensive Nokia 6.1 Plus. Another design feature that the Nokia 5.1 Plus shares in common with the Nokia 6.1 Plus is a display notch. The smartphone features a 5.86-inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1520 HD+ resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio.

Moving on to performance, the Nokia 5.1 Plus runs on an octa-core 12nm MediaTek Helio P60 processor clocked at 2.0 GHz with a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. While the smartphone comes in two memory configurations in China, HMD Global has only brought the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant to the Indian market. Users can expand the storage further by up to 400GB, thanks to a microSD card slot. In the camera department, Nokia 5.1 Plus impresses with 13MP + 5MP dual rear cameras and an 8MP front-facing camera. The primary 13MP sensor features phase-detection autofocus and an f/2.0 aperture, while the 8MP selfie camera is coupled with an f/2.2 aperture 80.4-degree wide-angle lens. Both the front and rear cameras feature AI-assisted features like bokeh blur, portrait lighting, haze removal and beauty mode. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, FM radio, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, USB Type-C port, and Dual 4G VoLTE.
