AMD Ryzen 3000 Series Supports X570 Chipset-based AM4 Platform, Leak Reveals

AMD struck gold with its Ryzen architecture. The company is looking towards releasing its upcoming Ryzen 2 lineup of CPUs. A leak has revealed that these chips will be supported by the existing AM4 platform and will be used in X570 motherboards. The first generation of Ryzen CPUs was supported in X370 motherboards with Ryzen+ being supported in X470 motherboards with backwards compatibility to X370 motherboards as well. Leak Reveals Key Details Of The X570 PCH

The supposed codename for the Ryzen 3000 series of CPUs will be ‘Matisse’. This is courtesy of a slide allegedly presented by Gigabyte. However, do bear in mind that the codename is usually just an internal name for the CPUs and not the market name. Well, as it stands, the Ryzen 3000 series will be getting a new chipset, the X570. According to the leak, the new Ryzen CPUs will be backwards compatible and work with previous chipset versions. This is truly amazing, giving the option to consumers to choose if they want a motherboard upgrade.

Well, since the new X570 chipset is coming out with quite a few added features, grabbing an X570 motherboard may be the best idea. One of the highlights of the X570 chipset is that it has support for PCIe Gen4. In all likelihood, this will be the very first consumer platform chipset to support this PCIe standard. The CEO of the company, Lisa Su will reveal more details about the 7nm Ryzen CPUs during the keynote at CES on January 9th, 2019. The X570 chipset may launch at Computex 2019. This won’t be surprising as AMD usually waits to unveil its products at Computex.

X570 Chipset Will Possibly Keep ADM In The Lead

AMD has been taking the lead over Intel when it comes to CPU sales. In November 2018, AMD sold twice the number of CPUs sold by Intel. This trend is likely to spill over into 2019 and stick around for a while. The X570 chipset with its PCIe Gen4 will grab the attention of a large international audience. Having the new standard will result in better GPU performance which translates to a better overall gaming experience.
