The Fossil Group has executed one of its biggest ever launch for the Indian market. The leading lifestyle accessories company introduced more than half a dozen smartwatches across its six brands in the country. The prices for the Fossil smartwatches vary as per the luxury sub-brand. However, the new Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 Platform powers the devices, and they all boot Google’s Android Wear OS.
Fossil launched 7 Wear OS powered smartwatches under six of its brands in India earlier last week. The devices are quite sleek looking and seem to compliment the sophistication of the wearer, unlike the Garmin Instinct smart wearable activity and fitness tracker devices that launched during the same time in India. Let’s look at the important aspects, like brand, price, availability, specifications and features of the Fossil smartwatches that launched in India.
Fossil Sub-brands Smartwatches Price, Availability
Fossil Group launched seven next-gen touchscreen smartwatches under its six brands to the country. The prices start at INR 19,995. The Fossil Gen 4 Smartwatch Venture HR and Explorist HR for Fossil are priced between INR 19,995 and INR 21,995.
The Skagen Falster 2 for the Skagen sub-brand is available starting at INR 19,995, and goes all the way up to INR 21,995. The Michael Kors Access Runway for Michael Kors starts at INR 21,995 and goes up to 33,995 for the top-end variant.

The Fossil’s Armani Exchange sub-brand gets the A|X Armani Exchange Connected which starts at INR 22,495. Fossil also has a popular Diesel sub-brand, which gets the Diesel Full Guard smartwatch series, which starts at INR 24,995 and goes up to INR 25,995.
Fossil Sub-brand Smartwatches Specifications, Features
The Fossil smartwatches may have launched under several sub-brands, and are available at varying price-points. However, underneath, they are fairly identical. The newly launched Fossil smartwatches run on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 Platform. The devices boot Google Android Wear OS.
The Fossil smartwatches sport a premium touchscreen digital display. The smart wearable devices pack Bluetooth technology, wireless syncing, and magnetic charging. They are compatible with iOS 9.3+ and Android 4.4+ (excluding Go edition). Fossil has merely mentioned that its smartwatches offer long battery life, but hasn’t confirmed the battery capacity.

The smartwatches from Fossil have quite a few mainstream features including heart rate sensor, GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light, and microphone. The dials of the smartwatches have heart rate integrated into the designs. This allows the devices to show the wearer’s heartbeats per minute on the watch face.
The independent GPS syncing allows the new Fossil smartwatches to act as standalone digital navigators. Hence, the wearer can easily go for a hike, take a swim, ride bikes and perform many other outdoor activities. Fossil smartwatches reportedly support several Google Fit and third-party fitness apps.
