The Xiaomi POCO F1 phone is one of the hottest devices out there right now thanks to its top specs and affordable price. While most flagship-killers start to increase the price, which incidentally also follows the flagships themselves increasing the price at the top end, the Xiaomi POCO F1 is amazingly good value.
POCO is a sub-brand of the widely known Xiaomi and maintains most of the flagship specs despite being offered at a budget price, while other devices make some obviously compromises to hit that price point. For that reason, the POCO F1 is very popular in the developer community with a ton of ROMs being developed over at XDA. In addition to those ROMs, the Google Camera Port, and other customizations, the popular FrancoKernel can now be added to that list.
You may have heard of the FrancoKernel, developed by franciscofranco, which is supported across a number of different devices and is known for its stability. Now you can add the POCO F1 to that list as builds starting with r1 work with MIUI and custom ROMs based on LineageOS. XDA does currently note that and advises against flashing the kernel on top of the Android Pie-based MIUI 10 beta as the WiFi functionality currently does not work on those ROMs so you may struggle if you need to revert.
You can download the FrancoKernel for your Xiaomi POCO F1 using this link.
The POCO F1 has a 6.18-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2246 resolution and 18.7:9 aspect ratio with 403 pixels-per-inch and is powered by a Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 CPU with an Adreno 630. The device has a notched display to give an 82.2% screen-to-body ratio. In the camera section, the POCO F1 has a dual 12-megapixel f/1.9 lens rear camera paired with a 5-megapixel f/2.0 depth-sensor. On the front, there is a single 20-megapixel f/2.0 lens with HDR that is perfect for selfies. The price for the device starts at Rs. 20,999 for the 64GB version and is available exclusively at Flipkart with the 128GB version retailing for Rs. 23,999, and the 256GB version for Rs. 28,999.
