Honor Band 4 with 0.95-inch OLED Display is Amazon Exclusive in India, Will Soon Go on Sale

Huawei‘s sub-brand Honor recently launched its next-iteration of fitness tracker dubbed Honor Band 4 in India. Unlike previous-gen trackers, the new edition of Honor’s fitness band features a color display. At the launch event, the brand didn’t reveal any information regarding availability and pricing. The Shenzen-based manufacturer has now announced Honor Band 4 as an Amazon exclusive fitness tracker. Along with Honor Band 4, the smartphone maker also unveiled its new budget-centric Honor 8C smartphone.

Honor India recently posted an image on its official Twitter account announcing the availability of its new fitness band. As per the post, the recently launched Honor Band 4 will soon be available for sale on Amazon.in. As mentioned earlier, Honor Band 4 is an Amazon exclusive product meaning you will not be able to purchase this product from any other e-commerce platform or retailers. Although, the company still hasn’t revealed any information regarding the Indian pricing. The Honor Band 4 might soon hit the company’s official e-commerce platform known as HiHonor.

Since Honor Band 4 directly competes with the likes of Xiaomi Mi Band 3, the company might go with the aggressive pricing. We’re expecting it to come with a price tag of INR 2,000 to take down the Mi Band 3. The Honor Band 4 comes in three different color options: Blue, Black and Pink. Surprisingly, Honor didn’t reveal the Runners Edition of the band in India. The Runners Edition, as the name suggests, shows improved running-related stats such as step length, ground contact, cadence and foot strike pattern. The company might launch this particular edition in the near future although there is no confirmation as such.

Honor Band 4 Features, Specifications

The Honor Band 4 features a 0.95-inch AMOLED colour display with a 2.5D curved glass on top. In terms of design, the band looks pretty similar to its previous-generation of fitness trackers. The Band 4 measures 43 x 17.2 x 11.5mm and weighs 23g, which should be comfortable to wear. Like any other fitness band, Honor Band 4 can track physical activities and display your device’s notifications. For connectivity, the wearable supports both NFC as well as Bluetooth v4.2. It is fueled by a decent 100mAh battery which can last you for 6 days on a single charge. Honor Band 4 also comes with a water resistance support for up to 50m. Since it is water resistant, the brand decided to add the ability to track swim strokes.

Honor Band 4 is equipped with the company’s TruSeen 2.0 technology which basically is a real-time heart rate tracker. Users can measure their heart rate continuously during activities like walking, running and cycling. Apart from heart-rate, the wearable can also track your steps using the in-built pedometer. Interestingly, it can also identify various sleeping issues like Insomnia thanks to Huawei’s TruSleep monitoring technology. On top of this, the tracker also gives you simple bits of bits of advice to improve your quality of sleep. Other than that, you can also use Honor Band 4 to find your phone if in case you misplaced it.

The Runners Edition, on the other hand, comes with the monochrome POLED display. It packs a smalle 77mAh battery but the battery life should remain somewhat same due to the absence of a colour screen. It also has an improved ability to track running activities. It comes in six different colour options:  Pink, Green, Yellow, Red, Blue and Black.
