Upcoming ‘Entertainement Ka Boss’ Likely to be the New Variant of Realme C1 with Mega Battery, Storage

The Realme C1 was a surprise launch from Realme when they launched this entry-level handset along with the Realme 2 Pro back in September. The phone was well received for by the Indian consumer for being a well-rounded package under the psychologically important INR 10K mark. Four months after the launch of the C1, Realme is reportedly planning to refresh the phone with a couple of new variants of the device. According to Gadgets 360, Realme has started teasing new variants of the Realme C1 on Flipkart.

Realme C1 New Variant Details

When the teaser for the new variants of the Realme C1 went live, several publications thought the teaser was for a brand new entry-level device from Realme. However, it was later confirmed by Realme themselves that the teaser was indeed for a new variant of the Realme C1 rather than an entirely new handset. The teaser, that you can still see on the Realme C1 microsite on Flipkart shows a device with a notched display along with several gaming-centric features. The new versions of the C1 will also feature increased internal storage capacity and more RAM. There is also a chance of the handset getting a bigger battery. The teaser calls the handset “Entertainment Ka Boss” hinting at the handset being an all-rounder.

Realme C1 Specifications

The Realme C1 features a 6.2-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution. The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset which is based on the 14nm manufacturing process. This chipset houses eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores. The graphics is handled by the Adreno 506 GPU that is more than capable of handling latest games at medium settings. The phone gets 2GB of LPDDR3 single channel RAM. The Realme C1 comes in a single 16GB variant as of now. The handset gets 4230 mAh Li-Ion battery. The handset also supports face unlock. Like other handsets in its price range, the Realme C1 is a dual SIM handset. The phone gets a triple slot which means you can use two SIM cards and one microSD card at the same time. Being Oppo’s sub-brand, the Realme C1 runs Color OS 5.1 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. As far as the camera is concerned, the Realme C1 gets a 13-megapixel camera at the rear mated to a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, the phone gets a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

It remains to be seen how different the new variants of the Realme C1 would be compared to the older version of the device.
