HMD Global Taiwan today confirmed that it will be holding a launch event in the country on April 2nd to unveil the Nokia X71. At the same event, the company plans to formally launch the flagship Nokia 9 PureView in Taiwan.

First Nokia Phone With a Punch-Hole Display Launching Next Week

The Nokia X71 will be HMD Global’s very first smartphone to feature a punch-hole display. In addition to a punch-hole display, the smartphone is said to sport a 48MP triple-camera setup at the rear with ZEISS optics. The 48MP main sensor will be complemented by a secondary 120-degree super wide-angle snapper. No details regarding the third sensor are available currently.

According to rumors, the Nokia X71 will debut in global markets as the Nokia 8.1 Plus. Unlike the Nokia X71, however, the global variant is expected to have a dual-camera setup at the rear. Previous leaks have suggested the Nokia 8.1 Plus may feature a 6.22-inch Full HD+ resolution display.
