Realme is expected to finally make its debut in the Chinese smartphone market later this month with the Realme 3 Pro and the Realme X. While the Realme 3 Pro is not a new device, the Realme X will be an all-new device that will make its global debut in China. While the smartphone was initially expected to be available only in China, it has been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards. The certification suggests the first Realme smartphone with a pop-up camera may arrive in India soon after its launch in China.
Realme X Likely to Launch in India Soon
As can be seen in the screenshow below, the BIS has certified the RMX1901 variant of the Realme X. The Realme X will be the brand’s first mid-range smartphone to be launched in India. As revealed by the smartphone’s TENAA listing recently, it will feature a 6.5-inch display with an In-display fingerprint sensor. Apart from the display size, the TENAA listing also confirmed a 3680mAh battery capacity. The rest of the smartphone’s hardware specs have not been listed yet. In terms of design, the Realme X is virtually identical to OPPO’s rumored Reno Lite mid-range smartphone. The phone will have a notch-less display with a pop-up selfie camera and a gradient back design.
According to a recent leak, the Realme X runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset. The phone is tipped to feature a 48MP + 5MP dual-camera setup at the rear. It is also said to support OPPO’s VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology. In addition to the Realme X, the leak suggested the company is working on a Pro variant of the Realme X with a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core chipset under the hood. If the information is accurate, the Realme X Pro will be the company’s first ever flagship smartphone. As of now, however, no concrete evidence proving the existence of the Realme X has surfaced on the web. In addition to the RMX1901, the BIS has also certified another unannounced Realme smartphone bearing model number RMX1945.
