The Samsung Galaxy A10s has been in the news for quite some time now. The successor to the Galaxy A10 from earlier this year, the Samsung Galaxy A10s features a couple of upgrades over its predecessor. Until now, we only had leaked, rumored specifications of the handset. However, Samsung, yesterday confirmed the existence of this new handset in a blog post made on its official global Samsung Newsroom page. The post details the key specifications of the Galaxy A10s and also includes a poster of the phone. Let us now take a look at what the specifications of the Galaxy A10s look like.

Samsung Galaxy A10s Key Specifications

To start with, the new Samsung Galaxy A10s features the same 6.2-inch TFT LCD panel that we saw on the older device. This panel has a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels in the 19.5:9 aspect ratio with a waterdrop notch at the top that Samsung refers to as the Infinity V. Samsung has not yet officially revealed the processor that they have used on the A10s. The poster only says that the SoC houses an octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2 GHz and four other cores clocked at 1.5 GHz. The poster also indicates that the phone would only made available in a single 2GB RAM variant that gets 32GB of storage. You do, however, get a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The battery capacity of the Galaxy A10s sees a minor upgrade over its predecessor with the phone getting a 4,000mAh battery as opposed to the 3,400MAh unit on the older version. Another key upgrade on the Galaxy A10s is the inclusion of a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner – a feature that was missing on the Galaxy A10.

Another area where the Samsung Galaxy A10s sees an upgrade is the rear-facing camera which now gets a slightly wider aperture over the older model (f/1.8 as opposed to f/1.9). The biggest addition, however, is the addition of a 2MP depth sensor at the back which the older model did not have. The resolution of the primary camera at the rear remains unchanged at 13-megapixels. The front-facing camera under the notch is also the same as the older model and captures 8-megapixel images.
