Tata Sky is the leading DTH service providing company in India. The company has recently announced a new one-month free trial offer of its Tata Sky Binge service to the new customers who are choosing the service. Just in case you do not know as to what Tata Sky Binge service is, it allows the standard TV viewers to stream content from OTT apps via the Amazon Fire TV Stick Tata Sky Edition. Let’s have a look at what the new service from Tata Sky has in store for us.
Tata Sky DTH brings a new one month free trial of the Tata Sky Binge service
As said, Tata Sky Binge service provides premium access to a host of OTT subscriptions at a nominal cost of Rs 249 per month. Now, the company has come up with a free one-month trial offer for the same. Alongside the trial, the users also get a free three months of Amazon Prime subscription. Post the trial period, the same service would cost the user Rs 129 per month. Alongside that, the Tata Sky Binge service comes up with Tata Sky’s in-house catch-up TV service that allows the user to watch up to the last seven days of most of the popular TV shows out there.

Unlike the other DTH operators who are working on launching Android TV-based Set-Top Boxes that allow the users to watch both the satellite TV and the OTT content via only one box, Tata Sky is forcing its customers to have its own Set-Top Box. To make up for that, the company is providing access to all the OTT apps via the Tata Sky Fire TV Stick Edition. The Amazon Fire TV Stick (Tata Sky edition) is being provided to the customers for no extra cost. The first month’s tariff, i.e. Rs 249 will be waived off for the new customers and post that period, if the user wants to access the premium access to the OTT services like SunNXT, Hungama Play, Eros Now, Hotstar, and ZEE5 (which totals somewhere over Rs 700 otherwise), the same would be payable at Rs 249 a month. Amazon Prime subscription, on the other hand, is not included in the plan and users will have to pay either Rs 129 per month and Rs 999 per year, post the first three months of the trial period, of course.
On top of the OTT apps the service comes with, users also get a Tata Sky Binge app that offers an on-demand library featuring thousands of TV shows and Movie Titles. Lastly, the company is planning on offering more than 400 Live TV channels in the coming time.
