LG V60 Leaked Promo Image Reveals 5000mAh Battery, Quad Cameras

While LG as a whole is doing pretty well, it is no secret that their smartphone business is not doing great outside of the Korean market. LG’s market share in the smartphone space has continued to dwindle over the years, thanks to the relentless onslaught by Chinese players. The company has said that it hopes to regain some lost ground with the help of new 5G capable handsets in 2020. LG had also planned to release a couple of new devices at MWC 2020 later this year. However, the company was forced to cancel its MWC 2020 attendance because of the ongoing Coronaviirus scare. Smartphone enthusiasts were aware that LG planned to launch its new flagship handset the LG V60 at MWC. While little was known about this handset, a recent leak by serial leakster Evan Blass showed us the first glimpse of this new handset.

Evan shared an image of the LG V60, which was apparently a screengrab taken from a promotional video that LG planned to play during the announcement of the device at MWC 2020. These images are clear enough to reveal key features of the LG V60.

The images indicate that the LG V60 features a quad-camera setup at the rear and also comes with four microphones. The device also gets a 5000 mAh battery and sports a 3.5mm audio jack as well as a USB Type-C port. The handset gets bottom-firing speakers, and the display – which is rumored to be around 6.7-inches tall – also integrates a fingerprint scanner. The phone also seems to sport a dedicated Google Assistant button.

These images also seem to indicate that the LG V60  and the LG G9 ThinQ  — another handset leaked earlier by @OnLeaks are, in fact, the same device. With reports also talking about the possibility of LG phasing out its G-Series lineup and continue only with its V-Series, there is a good chance that the V60 will be the company’s main flagship for 2020. This also means that the handset will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC.
