It was in 2019 that Chinese smartphone and telecommunications giant Huawei entered the fiercely competitive smart TV market with the launch of its first TV. Less than a year later, the company has announced the launch of a new smart TV called the Huawei Vision Smart TV Premium Edition with several new features and upgraded hardware, Gizmochina reports. The product is currently only targeted at the Chinese market, and it remains unclear if Huawei has plans to bring this to markets outside of China — especially India. Anyway, let us now take a quick look at what the Huawei Vision Smart TV has on offer.
Huawei Vision Smart TV Premium Edition: Specifications, key features
The newest smart TV from Huawei comes with several upgraded features. Primary among them is the upgraded storage capacity, which now stands at 128GB as opposed to the 64GB of storage that the previous model came with. The TV retains 4GB of RAM. The display size if the new TV remains unchanged at 65-inches. However, Huawei has added several new smart interaction features to the new variant. The TV also gets what Huawei called the AI Smart Eye pop-up camera, which can be used to make and receive video calls using the TV. Huawei says that the video resolution provided by this camera is much better than that of standard mobile phones — albeit this is a claim we haven’t independently verified.
In terms of software features, the Huawei Vision Smart Screen Premium Edition comes with a built-in AI fitness 2.0 function. With the feature powered on, the TV takes up the role of a fitness trainer and can monitor your exercise routine and provide actionable guidance in real-time. Huawei claims that this is akin to having your own fitness trainer around — whenever you need them.
Huawei Vision Smart TV Premium Edition: Other Features, Expected Price
Apart from this feature, the Huawei Vision Smart Screen Premium Edition can also guide your child and imbibe them with proper TV watching habits by monitoring their posture and viewing distance. If the TV detects the children remaining in an improper posture or sees that the ambient lighting conditions could be detrimental to the child’s vision, it sends ab alert on the screen, reminding them about the same. The TV also gets a comprehensive monitoring function to keep tabs on what the children are watching.
The TV also gets the useful Huawei Share function, which can be used to share content with a smartphone. Then there is a live broadcast function that enables voice control support for the TV. The Huawei Vision Smart TV Premium Edition, as of now, is listed on Huawei’s official flagship store on JD.com. The company has not officially revealed the price of the product. It is also unlikely that this product would make it to India any time soon.
