Realme has just announced on the Chinese social media platform, Weibo, that the brand will launch a new smartphone – dubbed the X50 Pro Player Edition — on 25th May (in China). Realme reveals in the announcement post that the codename of the X50 Pro Player Edition is ‘Blade Runner’ and teases that the features of this smartphones are ‘Performance leapfrog’ and ‘speed king,’ suggesting that the phone will have a powerful chipset. Realme also reveals in the announcement post that the X50 Pro Player Edition is an anniversary gift to its fans and the launch of this smartphone is a part of 8 products that the brand is scheduled to launch on 25th May.
The announcement post of X50 Pro Play Edition is accompanied by a teaser image of the phone, which shows that the phone has a glossy back panel and a quad-camera setup at the rear. Going by the naming convention, it looks like the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition is an advanced version of the X50 Pro 5G that was launched a few months ago. It also means that the X50 Pro Player Edition will replace the X50 Pro as the flagship smartphone from the company. Anyway, the announcement from Realme isn’t the only news about the X50 Pro Player Edition. We have just spotted a Realme phone codenamed RMX2072 on TENAA and MIIT, which we think is the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition.
Realme X50 Pro Player Edition certified through TENAA
I’ll start by explaining why we think that the RMX2072 that have spotted on TENAA is the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition.
The listing of the RMX2072 on TENAA reveals that the phone has a 2055mAh battery. But we all know Realme won’t launch a smartphone that has a battery capacity as such. We think that the RMX2072 has two 2055mAh batteries to facilitate high wattage charging. If you recall, the brand has taken the same route for the Realme X2 Pro and the Realme X50 Pro. Both of them have two sub-2000mAh batteries to offer 50W+ charging. So, considering that the RMX2072 will have a high wattage charging, it is apparent that it is a high-end flagship phone. Now, the only flagship phone from Realme that we know is under pipeline is the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition. All of these facts strongly suggesting that the RMX2072 is the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition.
With the explanation of why we think that the RMX2072 is the Realme X50 Player Edition out of the way, let us discuss what the listing of the phone on TENAA reveals. According to TENAA, the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition has a 6.44-inch display, 5G connectivity with SA/NSA support, dual-SIM support, Android operating system, Bluetooth, and GPS. The listing also reveals that the phone measures 159 x 74.2 x 8.9mm. Hopefully, the device will soon make it to other certification platforms leaving behind a trail of specifications.
Realme X50 Pro Player Edition certified through MIIT
Coming to the MIIT certification of RMX2072, it doesn’t reveal a lot of information about the phone. All it states is that the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition has 5G cellular network support and Bluetooth connectivity, just like TENAA listing revealed.
