Redmi Note 9 Pro Max First Sale on May 12 Via Amazon India and Xiaomi’s Mi.com: Price, Launch Offers

On March 12, Xiaomi announced the launch of the Redmi Note 9 Pro and the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in India. Back then, Xiaomi’s plan was to sell the Redmi Note 9 Pro starting March 17. Redmi also revealed that the first sale for the Pro Max was scheduled for March 25. While the first sale of the Note 9 Pro did take place as planned, Redmi was forced to postpone all future sales (including the first sale of the Pro Max) because of the initiation of the ongoing pan-India lockdown which started on March 25.

With the central government recently announcing the relaxation of norms in orange and green zones, Redmi recently held the second flash sale for the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Now, fans of the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max will finally be able to purchase the phone after Redmi confirmed that that first sale of the device would be held on May 12.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, like its less-expensive sibling, will be on sale via Amazon.in and the Mi.com store. As the norm usually is with Xiaomi flash sales, this sale is also scheduled for 12 noon on May 12.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC that houses an octa-core processor with two Gold cores and 6 Silver cores. For graphics, the phone gets the Adreno A618 GPU. In India, the phone is offered in three variants; a base 6+64 GB version priced at INR 16,499, a 6+128 GB variant priced at INR 17,999, and an
8+128 GB variant that will set you back by INR 19,999. The color options available for the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max include Aurora Blue, Glacier Black, and Interstellar Black.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max Key Specifications

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max features an IPS LCD panel that measures 6.67-inches across and has a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. This panel boasts of a typical brightness value of 450 nits and a contrast ratio of 1500:1. The display also gets a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for better durability.

The phone also boasts of a large 5020mAh Li-Polymer Battery with support for 33W fast charging. Redmi also includes the fast charger in the box. The dual SIM handset supports two SIM cards and one microSD card simultaneously thanks to the triple slot tray, and both the cards can remain connected to 4G LTE networks at the same time.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max gets a quad-camera setup at the rear consisting of a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. At the front, the phone gets a 32MP selfie camera houses within a punch-hole.
