Apple has confirmed an event for April 20. The company is expected to launch a bunch of new hardware products. These include the iPad Pro, new iMac, and AirTags. The iPad Pro rumours have been floating on the web for quite a while now. The latest development suggests that Apple has ramped up the production of its upcoming iPads. MacRumors, citing DigiTimes, reports that one of Apple’s suppliers has substantially improved the yield rates of the mini-LED display chip. The supplier will scale up the production later this month. Apple iPad Pro with mini-LED display expected as production ramps up

Apple iPad Pro is tipped to launch on April 20 at the Apple Event. The upcoming iPad is said to feature a mini-LED display and the A14x chip. 

According to MacRumors, citing DigiTimes, Apple’s supplier Ennostar has substantially improved its yield rates for Mini-LED chips. The supplier will ramp up the production of the mini-LED chips later this month. This is contrary to a recent Bloomberg report. The report claimed that Apple suppliers are experiencing poor manufacturing yields of the mini-LED display. One of the mini-LED display suppliers has paused the production due to the surfacing issues. 

Apple is rumoured to launch the 2021 iPad Pro in two screen sizes. There have been rumours of a mini-LED display for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro model. The 11-inch model is likely to get the mini-LED display tech next year.

The upcoming Pro iPad will get a faster Apple 14x chip that is on par with the M1 chip found on the new MacBook models. The devices are also tipped to get 5G network support on the cellular models.
