Realme has confirmed the launch of the Realme 8 5G in India. The upcoming mid-range 5G smartphone will launch in India on April 22. The invite confirms that the device will sport a hole-punch cutout for the front camera. It will also have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. This means that the device could sport an LCD instead of an AMOLED found on the 4G model. The company is debuting the device on April 21 in Thailand. Realme 8 5G launch in India confirmed for April 22
Realme will launch the Realme 8 5G in India on April 22. The smartphone will sport a punch-hole display and a Dimensity 700 SoC.
Realme is expected to price the 5G variant around Rs 16,000 in India. The official price will be announced at the launch event on April 22. It is being speculated that the device is a rebadged Realme V13 5G. Realme has already teased that it will launch a Dimensity 700 SoC-powered device very soon in India. It is the same SoC found on the V13 5G launched in China.
This means that the Realme 8 5G will feature a triple-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor. It will have two 2MP sensors for depth and macro. At the front is a 6.5-inch 90Hz LCD with a Full HD+ resolution. The device will have an 8MP front camera inside the hole-punch display.
We can expect the device to come with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is likely to run Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 on top. The device will have a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
