Asus recently announced a new color variant of the popular budget Android smartphone, the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. The company is calling this variant, “True Blue Performer”. As assured, Asus will make the latest variant of the smartphone available for sale today on Flipkart.
The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is a capable affordable Android smartphone. Interestingly, despite the budget pricing, Asus hasn’t neglected the device in terms of software. The smartphone received an important update that boosted the security and added important feature rarely seen in this category. The latest Over The Air (OTA) update brought with it the latest Android security patch. It also updated the NFC functionality, which unfortunately, the Indian variant doesn’t have.

The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 sports a price of just Rs.10,999 for the base variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The 4GB RAM variant with 64GB of internal storage, costs Rs.12,999. There’s also a 6GB variant with 64GB internal memory for Rs. 14,999. The True Blue Performer color variant of the smartphone with 6GB RAM + 64GB internal memory will be available with this price.
During the sale, buyers will have access to some appealing offers. Buyers with Axis Bank Buzz Credit Card will be eligible for a 5% discount. Buyers with ICICI Bank Credit Cards will also have 5 percent off, provided they complete the transaction with EMI option. The EMI option starts at Rs. 1,667 per month. Strangely, there is no mention of any exchange bonus. Buyers are urged to visit the listing pages of the smartphone variants for more details about any additional offers.

The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 features a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display panel with 1080 x 2160 Full HD+ resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. Qualcomm’s 14nm octa-core processor, the Snapdragon 636, clocked at 1.8GHz, powers the smartphone. The SoC is paired with an Adreno 509 GPU. The mobile phone is available in three configurations – 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage, and 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage. The onboard storage can be further expanded by up to 256GB using the dedicated micro-SD card slot.

The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 packs a dual rear camera unit, but the configuration varies. There’s a 13MP + 5MP dual-camera setup on the 3GB and 4GB RAM variants of the smartphone. But, the 6GB RAM variant gets a more impressive 16MP + 5MP setup at the rear. However, all the camera units offer Portrait Mode, and can capture videos at up to 4K Ultra HD resolution. The 3GB and 4GB RAM variants of the smartphone feature an 8MP selfie camera at the front with a soft LED flash, while the 6GB RAM variant sports a 16MP selfie snapper. The smartphone has as a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, but also offers Face Unlock as well.
One of the biggest highlights of the ZenFone Max Pro M1 is its massive battery. An exceptionally large 5,000mAh battery powers the smartphone. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and Dual 4G VoLTE.
