Homtom Launches Three Smartphones – H1, H3 And H5 With 5.5-Inch HD+ Display, 8MP Secondary Camera And Dual Rear Cameras

Popular Chinese smartphone maker, Homtom, made an entry into the Indian smartphone market on yesterday, with the launch of three of its models in the country. The smartphone maker’s entry in India shows the level of interest Chinese electronics brands has in what is perceived to be the world’s largest smartphone market.

Homtom’s mobiles and its features:

The company is offering a three-year warranty as well as screen replacement cover twice. The company states that it has over 100 patents registered in its name and has a large focus on research and development. It also plans to commence manufacturing operations from India, under the “Make in India” initiative. The H1 and H5 will be launched in Gold and Black colour variants, while the H3 will feature Black, Blue and Silver variants. The devices will be sold through retail stores across the country.

Homtom H1:

This is the low-end device among the three that are being launched. The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch HD+ display, with a screen resolution of 640 x 1280 and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The dual (Nano) SIM device will operate on the Android 8.1 Oreo and is powered by a MediaTek SoC that clocks 1.3GHZ and it also comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory space that is expandable through a microSD card.

The device also comes with a dual camera set up in the rear with a combination of 13 MP and 2 MP sensors that also features an LED flash. The front camera features a powerful 8 MP sensor for selfies. This camera also comes with a Face Unlock feature. In terms of connectivity, the device has a full set of options that include USB port with OTG support, Micro-USB, GPS / A – GPS. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 4G VoLTE support. On top of it, the device is backed by a 3,000mAh battery. The device is priced at Rs. 7,490.

Homtom H3:

The H3 comes with a 5.5-inch HD+ display, with a screen resolution of 720 x 1440 and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The panel comes with three sides that are bezel less. The dual (Nano) SIM device will operate on the Android 8.1 Oreo and is powered by a MediaTek SoC that clocks 1.3GHZ and it also comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory space that is expandable through a microSD card.
