Microsoft’s Your Phone App Now Available For Select Few Users

A select few Windows 10 users can access the Your Phone app by Microsoft on their smartphones. The app allows the user to view the photos on his mobile on the PC. However, not all users are able to access the app only a limited few have been able to do so until now.

Your Phone by Microsoft is an app that reportedly will bring about a closer integration between Smartphones and PCs. Microsoft recently launched this app on the latest preview construct of Windows 10 for Windows Insider. Soon enough reports from all over the US started pouring in about them being able to access the Your Phone app. According to these reports, the app only works on PCs that are running on the April 2018 (Version 1803) update of Windows 10.

As of now, reports Windows Observer via ZDNet, the users can view only the photos stored on his mobile on his PC. The upgraded version of the app will allow the user more than just access to the photos on the mobile. The Your Phone app will also let the user view his phone’s text messages and notifications on his PC as well.

Your Phone app, as per Microsoft, is going to take the integration between a user’s smartphone and his PC a step further than what cloud-based solutions like Google Drive and One Drive have been offering their users till date. As an alternative to syncing data to the cloud, the Your Phone app will simply share data among connected devices.

The app is available for download on Microsoft Store. The only requirement being that the smartphone needs to be running Windows 7.0 or higher. Once the user has downloaded the app on his Windows run PC, he can send himself a link to download Microsoft Store on his smartphone. Downloading Your Phone app from the Microsoft Store then becomes easy.

Microsoft is yet to officially announce Your Phone app’s features, even though a version of the app is currently available to a few users. Hopefully, the app will be officially launched by Microsoft soon so that more users can have access to it.
