Moto P30 Note Will Be the Moto One Power in the Asian Market, Runs Android One: Report

Earlier this month, three P30 series smartphones were found listed on Motorola’s China website a few days before the August 15 launch event. These include the standard P30, P30 Play, and the P30 Note. At the launch event, however, Motorola only launched the P30 smartphone in China. According to a new report, the P30 Note is none other than the rumored Motorola One Power.

Moto P30 Note: Set to Launch as Moto One Power in International Markets?

The new leak reveals the Motorola XT1942-1 will be making its debut as the Moto P30 Note. Since the Motorola P30 series is currently exclusive to China, there is a good chance that the P30 Note moniker will not be used in markets outside of China. In other major markets outside China, the smartphone is expected to be launched as Moto One Power and be a part of the Android One program. The new leak does not confirm any other detail apart from the marketing name of the smartphone.

Moto P30 Note: Specifications, Features

The Moto P30 Note is expected to feature a design very similar to the Moto P30, which means it will have a notched display and a vertically-stacked dual-camera setup. Going be previous rumors, the Moto P30 Note is expected to come with a 6.2-inch 1080 x 2280 Full HD+ resolution display and a 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, Moto P30 Note will be running on an octa-core 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz with an Adreno 509 GPU. In terms of memory, the smartphone is expected to come in 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB RAM variants with 32GB and 64GB storage options.

On the back of the smartphone will be a 16MP + 5MP dual-camera setup with AI-assisted features. For selfies, the Moto P30 Note is expected to feature a 12MP snapper on the front. One of the major highlights of the Moto P30 Note will be its massive 4850mAh capacity battery with fast charging support. Thanks to the high capacity battery, we expect the Moto P30 Note or Moto One Power to be among the most desirable budget Android smartphones for power users. On the flip side, the Moto P30 Note will not be as slim as some of its rivals. It is said to measure 155.8 x 75.9 x 9.8mm. While the exact weight of the smartphone is not known yet, you can expect it to be on the heavier side.

Connectivity features will include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, FM radio, USB Type-C port, and 4G VoLTE. The smartphone will also come with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Since the Moto One Power will be an Android One smartphone, it will ship with stock Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box and is expected to receive monthly security updates on a regular basis.

Moto P30 Note: Expected Price in India

The Moto P30 Note or Moto One Power is expected to be priced slightly above the Rs.20,000 mark in the Indian market. While the smartphone’s rumored specifications are not disappointing in any way, Motorola will need to ensure that the smartphone is priced aggressively in India as consumers may not be very keen on spending over Rs.20,000 for the Moto One Power when they have options like the Honor Play and POCO F1 available in front of them.
