If you have a Samsung Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9+ smartphone and are Disney’s Frozen fan, then Samsung has something in store for you. The South Korean giant has added four popular characters from the movie in its AR emojis. These characters will debut on your Galaxy S9 or S9+ smartphone with an upcoming update.
Samsung Galaxy S9, S9 Plus: Frozen Emojis
Samsung has partnered with Disney to bring Frozen AR emojis to two of its flagship smartphones. With this, Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus will be able to create AR emojis with their avatars such as Olaf, Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff. To get on with the AR play, users will have to open the AR Emoji mode on their phone and tap on the plus icon on the right to open the Galaxy Apps Store and download the Disney Frozen pack. Once the download is finished, you will be able to see Frozen avatars in the AR emoji list.
The partnership between Samsung and Disney will reap more benefits for the AR emoji users as the former may add more characters from other Disney movies. Besides, this is not the first time when Disney and Samsung have joined hands for AR emojis. Last month, Samsung added Incredibles AR emojis to its Galaxy Apps Store to promote the Incredibles 2. The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus users already had access to other Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Donald Duck.

Both the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 Plus come with Infinity Displays with QHD+ resolution, 18.5:9 aspect ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and HDR10 content playback. The Galaxy S9 features a 5.8-inch screen while the Galaxy S9 Plus packs a 6.2-inch screen. Both the phones run Android 8.0 Oreo-based Samsung Experience 9.0 and are powered by Exynos 9810 process SoC paired with Mali-G72 MP18 GPU. The Galaxy S9 comes with 4GB of RAM while the S9 Plus has 6GB of RAM while the internal storage can be further expanded up to 400GB on both the phones via microSD card. It’s worth noting that Samsung has scored Google’s Project Treble support for both the handsets, which means that we can expect a constant stream of updates.
Concerning optics, the Galaxy S9 sports a 12MP rear camera while the S9 Plus settles for a 12MP+12MP dual camera setup at the rear. Both the phones have an 8MP selfie snapper on the front and are backed by 3000mAh and 3500mAh batteries, respectively. Adaptive Fast Charge supports both the phones alongside fast wireless charging over Qi and PMA standards. Moreover, both the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 Plus also pack Samsung Pay and IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.

Currently, the Galaxy S9 price in India is Rs. 52,000 for the 64GB storage variant and Rs. 65,650 for the 128GB storage model. The Galaxy S9 Plus, on the other hand, is retailing at Rs. 60,800 for the 64GB storage variant and Rs. 65,650 for the 128GB storage model.
