Chinese telecommunications regulatory agency TENAA recently certified a new variant of the OPPO Find X flagship smartphone featuring 10GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The existence of the 10GB RAM variant was reconfirmed today by AnTuTu, which shared the benchmark score of the upcoming Find X variant on its Weibo handle. Since no other smartphone with 10GB of RAM has leaked online yet, the upcoming Find X variant could well grab the title of the world’s first smartphone to pack more than 8GB of RAM.
OPPO Find X 10GB RAM Variant: AnTuTu Score Revealed
The OPPO Find X 10GB RAM benchmark result shared by AnTuTu on Weibo reveals the smartphone manages an overall score of 2,71,362 points, which is not very different from what the 8GB RAM variant of the smartphone manages to score in the same benchmark. In fact, some units of the Find X with 8GB of RAM have managed to score close to 2,90,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmark. The memory score of 11,132 isn’t any higher either when compared to the existing 8GB RAM variant. That said, it is too early pass a judgment on the actual performance difference between the 8GB and 10GB RAM variants of the Find X. We will need to wait until the retail model is available to get a better idea of the improvements that the 10GB RAM variant brings to the table.
OPPO Find X 10GB RAM Variant: Specifications, Features
Apart from the additional RAM onboard, we expect the 10GB RAM variant of the Find X to be identical to the current top-end variant in terms of hardware specifications. The Find X features a unique sliding “stealth camera” mechanism that allows the smartphone to achieve a 93.8% screen-to-body ratio. It features a 6.42-inch Panoramic Arc AMOLED display with 1080 x 2340 Full HD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 10nm processor clocked at up to 2.5 GHz with an Adreno 630 GPU. Currently, the top-end configuration packs 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Find X does not include a microSD card slot, which means further expansion is not supported.
The OPPO Find X features 16MP + 20MP dual rear-facing cameras with optical image stabilization, AI Portrait Mode, and AI Scene Recognition technology. OPPO claims the AI Scene Recognition feature on the Find X can intelligently identify up to 800 different scenes. The selfie snapper on the front is a 25MP unit with AI beautification feature. OPPO Find X is also the first Android smartphone to utilize 3D Structured Light Technology, capable of scanning over 15,000 facial points. This makes the 3D facial recognition solution on the Find X even more secure than conventional fingerprint sensors. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, and 4G VoLTE. Fueling the internals of the flagship handset is a 3730mAh capacity battery. While the 256GB storage variant sold in India comes with VOOC Flash Charge fast charging, the Super Flash Edition sold in China is equipped with SuperVOOC Flash Charge technology. OPPO claims the SuperVOOC Flash Charge technology allows the 3400mAh capacity battery on the Find X Super Flash Edition to achieve 100% charge in mere 35 minutes. In terms of software, the Find X currently runs on OPPO’s ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.
OPPO Find X: Price in India
The OPPO Find X comes in only a single memory configuration in India with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Available online exclusively via Amazon.in, the Find X is priced at Rs.59,990.
