Xiaomi POCO F1: Software Bugs and Issues

There are quite a few software issues on the POCO F1 smartphone which needs fixing. For starters, users have still been complaining about issues when using Android Auto. Android Auto, allows users to mirror certain features from their smartphones to a car’s dashcam. This makes navigation simpler and allows support for GPS mapping and navigation. It’s extremely unfortunate that users with a more than capable device are still facing issues like this.

In terms of game compatibility, the POCO F1 smartphone, according to the Play Store, is incompatible with Asphalt 8 and 9. This is definitely a software bug as the device is equipped with hardware which is capable of running such games. Have you been trying to watch Netflix or Amazon video in resolutions above 540p but could not? Well, if this is you, you’re not alone. The device only has Widevine Level 3 support and lacks level 1 support which basically allows the device to display the videos in resolutions above 540p.

Recently, users have been suffering in silence with a buggy status bar where at times the battery percentage isn’t displayed or notification app icons go missing. In addition to this, there’s still no 4K video recording at 60fps and “OK Google” just refuses to work. If you thought the list was over, you couldn’t be further from the truth as the users are now supposedly facing issues with the touchscreen.

Xiaomi POCO F1: Software Fixes

Thankfully, Xiaomi has finally solved one of the most irritating problems which the POCO F1 phone launched with, Ghost touch. Along with this, multi-touch issues have also been fixed. Let’s hope that most of the touchscreen bugs keep ironed out soon.

The device has also been known for facing issue with PUBG which have now been looked into and resolved. Most issues were regarding touch display which ended up getting a number of players shot due to a delayed response. Xiaomi’s first suggestion to ensure smooth gameplay is to avoid using a keyboard and to play on a fast internet connection. Issues like content being covered by the notched display when gaming, after updating to the latest version of the game, is currently still being addressed.

The company is still figuring out a way to deal with the buggy status bar and promises a fix relatively soon. Apart from this, they are also working on enabling 4K video recording at 60fps.
