Oppo sub-brand Realme is holding a launch event to unveil the Realme 2 Pro on September 27. We recently reported that the smartphone will feature 8GB RAM and 128GB storage along with a Snapdragon 660 octa-core chipset. In the latest development, an unboxing video of the smartphone has surfaced online that confirms some key specifications of the device.
Realme 2 Pro: Unboxing Video Details
The unboxing video shows a sky blue color variant of the upcoming smartphone.
As seen in the video, there is a waterdrop notch on the top of the smartphone. The video maker has also shared the major specs of the device including its camera features, storage, processor. This smartphone in the video is apparently a 6GB RAM variant. The processor underneath is an octa-core Snapdragon 660, which has been confirmed by the Geekbench as well. The device features a 6.3-inch display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. You can also see a fingerprint scanner at the back of the device.
Realme 2 Pro: Specifications, Features
After numerous leaks, official teasers, and this latest video, the Realme 2 Pro is practically out. We didn’t have the exact display specifications until now. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone features a tall 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. It is expected to come with an aspect ratio of 19:9. And, the presence of the waterdrop notch will allow it to have a better screen-to-body ratio than that of the Realme 2. To recall, the Realme 2 has a decent 81.2%. The 6GB model in the video could be the base variant, while an 8GB RAM + 128GB onboard storage variant has been recently confirmed.

In the imaging department, the Realme 2 Pro will have a dual camera set up comprising of a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP depth-sensing camera. The cameras at the back will be accompanied by an LED flash to handle poor-lighting shots. On the front, there will be an 8MP camera for selfies and video calling. The camera units will come with AI-powered features like intelligent-scene-detection, portrait mode, and more. Furthermore, the battery on the device will be a massive 4350mAh capacity. In comparison, the Realme 2 sports a 4230mAh capacity battery. For software, the Realme 2 Pro will run on Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.1 version out of the box. Apart from the fingerprint scanner, there will be a Face Unlock feature as well.
The Realme 2 Pro is confirmed to feature a Snapdragon 660 processor, so it will pack all the standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Dual 4G VoLTE. While the battery capacity of the Realme 2 Pro is certainly powerful, the device might feature support for fast charging. The 8GB RAM, a massive battery and a powerful processor make the Realme 2 Pro a great choice for hard-core gamers. The Realme 2 Pro features comparable screen size, it is expected to measure within similar dimensions as that of the Realme 2. CEO Madhav Seth had confirmed that the smartphone will be priced below the Rs. 20,000 mark but will be costlier than the Realme 2. We are expecting the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage to sell for around Rs. 15,000. The 8GB RAM + 128GB onboard storage variant of the Realme 2 Pro to be priced somewhere around Rs.19,000. The device will be sold as Flipkart exclusive.
