Vivo has already confirmed the launch date for the Vivo X23 as September 6. The event will take place in China, and now, the company has officially started sending out invites to the media.
The company is going all out with its media invites, and has surely invested a lot in it. The Vivo X23 is going to be the successor to the Vivo X21. If you remember, the Vivo X21 was the first commercially available smartphone to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. It was also a mid-range device, which meant that it was accessible to all.
The Vivo X23 is going to be a mid-range device as well, and it is going to improve upon its predecessor. We have already seen the images of the device, and we know the specifications. However, it is nice to see the different ways that companies invite the media.

Like we mentioned in the beginning, Vivo just started sending invites for the event, to media in China. A website called Zealer China, and it posted a video of what the event looks like. Vivo has been very creative with the invite.
Opening the invite reveals a display, which has a Chinese Singer/Actor invite the receiver to the launch of the Vivo X23. There is no other detail provided about the phone in the invite, but we don’t really need that. Technically, every invitee will get to keep the tablet or whatever the display is. Or is it even a tablet? We have no idea, but it sure is cool.
Below the display, there are three buttons that let you Play/Pause, and increase or decrease the volume. There appears to be an autograph by the actor Lu Han. You can check the video at the source link.
Vivo X23: Features, Specifications
We already know all about this upcoming smartphone from Vivo. The specifications and features have been both leaked and confirmed by the company itself. There have been several posters, teasers, and leaks that we have seen. Vivo has also added a listing for the phone on its website, with all the details.
Anyway, let’s get on with it, and let us tell you about all the new features in brief. The Vivo X23 will come with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It will have a smaller notch as well, similar to the one found on the Oppo F9 Pro and the R17 Pro. The phone will be equipped with a 4th generation in-display fingerprint scanner. This is said to be much faster and secure than the predecessor.
Internally, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 670 chipset. This is a mid-range chipset, and is slightly slower than the SD 710. This processor would be coupled with up to 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. In the camera department, the phone will feature a dual-camera setup at the back. You will get a 12MP main sensor, coupled with a secondary 13MP unit for capturing depth information. The camera will come with AI software features to aid with photography. The front camera will be a 12MP unit with AI portrait mode, HDR, and more.

Furthermore, the phone will come with a 3400mAh battery that supports fast charging. Out of the box, it will run Android 8.1 Oreo based FunTouch OS 4.5. It will be available in three color variants; Magic Night Blue, Phantom Red, and Phantom Purple. On the same day, Vivo will be launching the Vivo V11 Pro in India, which is basically a renamed X23.
