A few days back, Xiaomi India confirmed on Twitter that it will be launching the Mi Band 3 along with four other “Smart Living” products on September 27. Of course, Xiaomi will also be selling the fitness band on its Mi.com e-commerce platform. While the Mi Band 3 is available in two versions in China, we expect only the standard version of the wearable to be launched in India. The NFC-enabled version is likely to remain exclusive to the Chinese market, at least for a few more months.

The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 comes with a large 0.78-inch 128 x 80 resolution OLED touchscreen display that is protected by a layer of scratch-resistant glass and an anti-fingerprint coating. Thanks to the larger display, the Mi Band 3 is capable of displaying up to 24 characters. This allows users to send messages, make calls, and even receive meeting invitations on the Mi Band 3. The fitness tracker can display notifications from various apps such as WhatsApp and Facebook, text messages, weather information, caller ID, and more.
Moving on to the core features, the Mi Band 3 promises improved fitness activity tracking with support for real-time display of running, cycling, and walking data.
