Jio Celebration Pack is Offering Free 2GB Daily Data Till November 2; Here’s How to Check the Offer
Reliance Jio completed its 2nd anniversary earlier last month. And, to celebrate the occasion, the telco rolled out a complementary data pack, dubbed ‘Jio Celebrations Pack’. The pack was to offer 2GB data per day for a fixed validity period in the month of September and October. The additional data for the September had already been delivered. And now, the second instalment of the celebrations pack is here and the users will get 2GB data per day till November 2. However, the validity could differ for different users.
How to Check Your 4G Data Balance?
We don’t know if the users with no active tariff plans will have the benefits of the Jio Celebrations pack. However, if you are a Jio subscriber, you can check your data balance by logging into the My Jio app on your device. Once you get in, head over to ‘My Plans’ section and look for the ‘Jio Celebrations Pack’ that should state it would offer 2GB data per day along with an expiry date.
It is important to note that different users could receive the Celebrations pack at different times. Jio, on its 2nd anniversary, announced to credit a total of 16GB data, 8GB each month to its subscribers. So, the time of addition of the pack could be different but the amount of extra data remains 8GB each month.
Reliance Jio’s 2nd Anniversary
Reliance Industries Limited started its telecom chapter with Jio two years back. The arrival of Jio started price and data war started in the telecom industry. With its cost-effective plans and unlimited data offerings, Jio became one of the most popular telecom brands in India with a massive subscriber base. With an aim to bring 4G to masses, Jio launched two affordable 4G feature phones that support apps like WhatsApp, YouTube, and Facebook. According to a recent study, Jio is the third most influential brand in India.
The company is well on its way to establish dominance in the broadband sector. To accelerate its efforts in this direction, the company has acquired majority shares in DEN Networks and Hathway Cable & Datacom. It recently added GTPL Hathway to the list, which happens to be a leading multi-system-operator (MSO), dominating the markets of Gujarat.
In the latest development, Reliance Jio is gearing to be the early adopter of the 5G network in India. Jio acquired a US-based telecom operator to help it serve the 5G technology in India. The telco demonstrated 5G use cases at the on-going Indian Mobile Congress, 2018. The telecom operator partnered with three global companies for the live demonstration. Jio set up experience zone to showcase the experiential use cases of ultra 5G services in mobiles, and the use cases of the 5G technology in smart schools, hospitals, and workplaces. According to a Jio Vendor, “The initial 5G services that public is expected to see in India is mobile ultra high-speed broadband when the commercial network will start rolling out. Jio will give a live demo of this enhanced speed on mobile devices.”
Multiple sources have confirmed Jio is aggressively expanding its fiber-optic network, which happens to be a major factor in creating a sustainable 5G network. Going by a report by Morgan Stanley, “setting up the fiber lines is the most important near-term focal point for the telecom industry, especially, as the country is looking to move to 5G technology”.

Huawei Y7 Prime (2019) Receives 3C Certification in China, Launch Could be Imminent
In March this year, Huawei announced the Y7 Prime (2018) entry-level Android smartphone with an 18:9 aspect ratio display and a Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor. Chinese certification agency 3C has now certified the successor to the Y7 Prime (2018), bearing the model numbers DUB-TL00, and DUB-AL20. In addition to the Y7 Prime (2018) variants, a mysterious Huawei smartphone bearing model number INE-AL00r has been certified as well.
Huawei Y7 Prime (2019) Gets 3C Certification in China
The 3C certification agency in China has certified three variants of the Y7 (2019) – DUB-AL20 and DUB-TL00. Since the Y7 Prime (2019) will be an entry-level Android smartphone, Huawei will bundle a 5.0V 2A power adapter in the box. Most entry-level Android smartphones lack fast charging support, so this is not surprising. Sadly, however, the 3C listing does not reveal any other interesting information regarding the upcoming smartphone. As for the INE-AL00r, there is absolutely nothing that is known currently.
The current Y7 Prime (2018) sports a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1440 HD+ resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. While we do not expect the Y7 Prime (2019) to come with a Full HD+ resolution display, there is a small chance that Huawei may equip the smartphone with a notch at the top, which would mean it will boast an improved screen-to-body ratio compared to the current model. In terms of processing power, the Y7 Prime (2019) is expected to run on a slightly more powerful processor than the Snapdragon 430, most likely the Snapdragon 450. In the memory department, Y7 Prime (2019) will likely come with the same 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Another area where the upcoming Y7 Prime (2019) might be more or less similar to the current model is imaging. The Y7 Prime (2018) features a dual-camera setup at the rear with a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary depth-sensing camera. For selfies, the smartphone has an 8MP snapper on the front. Unlike some entry-level smartphones out there, the Y7 Prime (2018) comes with both a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and facial recognition support. In the connectivity department, the current model supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, FM radio, and 4G VoLTE.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018), LG V40, Huawei Mate 20 Pro: Multiple Rear Camera Smartphones Detailed
Dual cameras on smartphones is pretty common these days. An entry level phone such as the Oppo Realme 2 also has a dual-rear camera setup. However, manufacturers are now upping their game and adding more than 2 cameras at the back. It was the Huawei P20 Pro that first started the trend. This phone was released last year and came with three sensors at the back, and it was also a pretty good setup. Nowadays, there are a few phones that feature more than three camera sensors as well. Samsung recently released the Galaxy A9(2018), which has 4 cameras at the back.
In this post, we are going to talk about three phones that feature triple or more cameras and see how they are different from each other. The Samsung Galaxy A9 is part of this list, obviously. Apart from that, we shall talk about the cameras on the LG V40 ThinQ and the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
Samsung Galaxy A9 has Four Cameras
The Samsung Galaxy A9 is the first smartphone in the world to feature a quad-camera setup at the back. Samsung included three useful sensors, and one not so useful camera, on this device. The first sensor is an 8MP 120 degree Ultra-wide lens with f/2.4 aperture. Below that is a 10MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture again, which offers 2X optical zoom. The third sensor is the best out of the four and is a 24MP camera with an f/1.7 aperture, which helps take better low-light photos as well. Finally, the last camera is nothing but a 5MP depth sensor that is only useful in portrait shots.
LG V40 ThinQ has Three Cameras
Coming to the LG V40 ThinQ, there are three sensors to play with. The setup is horizontal, with the first camera being a 12MP sensor with f/1.5 aperture. This is the main sensor that’s used for photos and videos. It has OIS and dual-pixel autofocus, which will help with low-light photography. The secondary sensor is also a 12MP unit, but it has an f/2.4 aperture. This is the telephoto lens and also features OIS. Finally, the third camera is a 16MP wide-angle sensor with an f/1.9 aperture. You can choose the three sensors separately, giving you more freedom to shoot in whichever mode you want to.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro has Three Cameras
On the Mate 20 Pro, the cameras are placed inside a square box. The first camera is a super wide-angle 20MP sensor, the secondary and main camera is a wide-angle 40MP sensor, and the third is an 8MP telephoto shooter. The 40MP sensor has a f/1.8 aperture, the 20MP has an f/2.2 aperture, and the telephoto lens can provide up to 3x optical zoom. The telephoto lens also features OIS, which will help with capturing better low-light photos.
The camera setup also makes use of the new Master AI 2.0 on the Mate 20 Pro to better process the images.
There you go, three phones with different camera setups and usage. Although the Samsung phone has the most number of sensors, it doesn’t take photos as good as the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, or the LG V40 ThinQ. More sensors doesn’t mean that the phone can take amazing photos. The Google Pixel 3 is the best example of this, as it uses a single camera to do everything that the other devices does with more than 2 cameras.

Asus VivoBook S15, VivoBook S14 With ‘NanoEdge’ Design Launched in India, Price Starts at Rs. 54,990
Asus has launched its lightweight Windows 10 laptops in India with a starting price of Rs. 54,990. The VivoBook S15 (S530) will be available from Asus while the VivoBook S14 (S430) will be an exclusive offering to Flipkart.
The laptops mark the first in the Asus VivoBook series to feature a three-sided NanoEdge design, which means the devices have narrow bezels along the top and sides of the display. The reduction of bezels allows Asus to maximize the screen real-estate without physically increasing the overall size of the device. Asus said “This gives S15 an 86 percent and S14 an 84 percent screen-to-body ratio, thus, offering an immersive experience in a compact package. The panels also feature wide-view technology and color reproduction for life-like visuals even when viewed from extreme positions.”
Asus VivoBook S15, VivoBook S14: Specs, Features
As far as the physical appearance goes, the 15.6-inch VivoBook S15 weighs 1.8kg while the 14-inch VivoBook S14 weighs 1.4kg with a side profile of just 18mm. Asus boasts that the larger S15 laptop has a full-sized keyboard with 1.4mm of key travel. Emphasis has been placed on comfortable typing as both laptops feature an ErgoLift hinge design, that helps lift the keyboard by 3.5-degrees, providing a typing experience you would expect to only be found when working on a desktop. The hinge also provides a dual function of extra ventilation to aid in cooling the laptop.
The ASUS VivoBook S15 fits the panel of a 15.6” Full HD display into a typical 14-inch laptop frame. This is possible due to the ultra-narrow 7.8mm NanoEdge bezel that gives it an incredible 80% screen-to-body ratio. The display also includes 178° wide-view technology to ensure that colors and contrast remain vivid and bold, even when viewed at sharp angles. It’s the perfect solution for sharing content with friends and colleagues.
“They can easily slip into laptop or travel bags, even backpacks and be one’s constant companions,” the company said in a statement.
Asus has also integrated a Windows Hello-certified optical fingerprint sensor directly into the touchpad to rival Apple’s TouchID that it just demoed on the latest MacBook Air and has been present in the MacBook Pro Touch Bar for some time.
The ASUS VivoBook S15 gives you the perfect combination of beauty and performance. With its slim NanoEdge bezel, brushed-metal finish, the latest Intel® Core i7 processor with up to 16GB RAM, and NVIDIA® GeForce® 940MX graphics, VivoBook S15 is designed for today’s fast-paced urban lifestyle.
In terms of specs, both laptops are powered by up to 8th-Generation Intel Core i7 processors and Nvidia GeForce MX150 graphics. The company has also equipped the devices with Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB Type-C (v3.1), USB Type-A (v3.1), HDMI, and microSD card connectivity options on both the VivoBook S15 and VivoBook S14 laptops. Quite refreshing to see on a laptop is the inclusion of fast charge technology that can deliver up to 60 percent charge in 49 minutes. It’s great Asus has included that in the laptops as these often see extensive charging times but a technology that has worked well in smartphones to reduce charging time will certainly benefit here.
Asus VivoBook S15, VivoBook S14: Price in India
The VivoBook S15 (S530) and VivoBook S14 (S430) in India at a starting price of Rs. 69,990 and Rs. 54,990, respectively. The S15 will be an Asus exclusive in select stores from November 15, while the S14 will be exclusive to Flipkart and go on sale on November 1.

Jio Phone 4G VoLTE Feature Phone Launch, Pricing Challenge Combined Made Airtel Loose Subscribers to Jio
Ever since Reliance Jio made its debut two years back, the other telecom operators have been looking for ways to counter its 4G marketing model. While bringing down the price points of smartphones and cutting on the cost of the recharge plans is a good move, it is not effective enough to take on Reliance Jio‘s increasing popularity. In fact, telecom operator Bharti Airtel has suffered the most in the process and is losing its user base to Jio.
Airtel has enjoyed dominance in the telecom industry over the years and is still the leading telco in terms of subscribers. However, Reliance Jio has successfully managed to question its popularity and convert a good chunk of Airtel’s subscribers to its own. Airtel is already in a neck and neck with Jio in the prepaid recharge segment and not bringing its own 4G VoLTE feature phone is not helping.
How Jio Phone Launch Affected Airtel?
Reliance Jio launched its first feature phone, dubbed Jio Phone, last year. The handset came out as a carrier of 4G services and successfully spread through masses. Those using other feature phones on a 2G network say Airtel, for instance, found a better option at the similar price point and switched stables. This resulted in Airtel losing millions of subscribers to Jio.
As reported by ET, “Airtel is unable to deal with Jio Phone’s pricing challenge as it does not have similar subsidized 4G VoLTE feature phones on offer, and it’s unlikely to engage in any aggressive customer acquisition strategy involving doling out of handset subsidies before having a comparable 4G network like Jio’s,” said Naveen Kulkarni, Head of Research at Reliance Securities.
Analysts believe Airtel has been facing pressure on the revenue and profitability side for a while now. In order to subsidize handsets, it will need to raise cash to first expand its 4G network capacity and counter Jio. However, Jio currently has an asymmetric share of data traffic running on 4G networks, which explains why Bharti Airtel firmly refused to play along despite getting a major setback courtesy Monsoon Hungama offer. To recall, the offer allows the exchange of any feature phone for a 4G enabled Jio Phone at just over INR 1,000 (including a prepaid recharge for 6 months). Incidentally, Airtel lost over 6.6 million subscribers in the September quarter. Reliance Jio, on the other hand, reported a 37 million increase during the period.
Popular Financial servicing leader, Goldman Sachs attributed the incident to “loss of (Airtel) subscribers to Jio Phone.” The brokerage said, “We estimate 15-20 million Jio Phones were sold in the second quarter FY19, and if Jio Phone traction remains strong, we could continue seeing pressure on Bharti’s revenues.”
Airtel’s Take on the Situation
Earlier Last week, Airtel rolled out cashback offers of up to INR 2,000 for subscribers upgrading to any 4G smartphone in an attempt to prevent losing the feature customers. The telecom operator has spent the entire last year expanding its collaborations with handsets vendors to launch affordable 4G smartphones to counter Jio Phone. Airtel has been trying to push more feature phone customers to 4G smartphones, which seems roomy amongst the massive uptake of the subsidized Jio Phone.
However, Airtel’s CEO Gopal Vittal remains adamant. “We have chosen not to compete in the VoLTE feature phone segment as we have feature phone users on our own network, and plan to get them to directly upgrade to smartphones,” he said after the September quarter results.

Lenovo Z5 Pro Latest Teaser Reveals 24MP+16MP AI Dual Camera Feature, Launch Set for November 1st in China
Over the last few weeks, Lenovo has been constantly hyping the release of its next flagship smartphone, the Lenovo Z5 Pro. The company has been posting teasers left, right and centre. Thanks to these teasers, we know a lot about the upcoming device.
The Z5 Pro is going to be an all-screen phone, with super slim bezels all around, and no notch. It will be similar to the Mi Mix 3 that Xiaomi recently launched. Now, Lenovo has posted another new teaser, which details the specifications of the rear facing camera.
Lenovo Z5 Pro AI Dual Camera Teased
Most of the teasers come from Lenovo Vice President Chang Cheng, which means that they are credible. The latest teaser is about the rear facing camera. According to the teaser, the Lenovo Z5 Pro will feature dual-front facing with a primary 24MP sensor paired with another 16MP sensor. It will also have several AI features such as AI super night scene and AI super video. These features should improve the low-light capture and video recording functions, as advertised.
A lot of new smartphones are using AI to improve low-light photography. It is possible that the new Lenovo Z5 Pro could also feature a similar feature as the name, AI Super Night Scene, suggests. We are not sure how this feature will work, but that should be revealed in two days during the launch. The teaser also shows a photo captured on the photo, which looks pretty impressive. That’s all there is to learn from this new teaser for now.
The latest Google Pixel 3 gets a feature called Night Shot, which can vastly improve low light photos. Such a feature was first implemented on the Huawei P20 Pro. Even the new OnePlus 6T comes with something called Nightscape, which improves low-light photography.
Lenovo Z5 Pro Features
The Lenovo Z5 Pro is going to be announced on November 1st, which is only two days away. Lenovo has scheduled an event in Beijing, China. The phone has been confirmed to have a fully bezel-less display and a slider mechanism. However, the device will have a manual slider, not an automatic one. This is also similar to the slider on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. It seems like the manual slider is a better way to completely hide the notch. As usual, once you slide the display down, you will see the speaker, dual-front cameras, and other sensors.
Lenovo VP, Chang Cheng, has also shared some information about other aspects of the phone. For example, it will feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. This type of scanner is better than the standard in-display tech that’s found on other smartphones. It will also have better security such as hardware level encryption, Dolby Atmos Surround sound, and AI Smart Noise Reduction.
As for the hardware specifications, the Lenovo Z5 Pro is said to feature the Snapdragon 845 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. A 6.42-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution will be available at the front. The rear camera specifications have also been confirmed now. We have no details about the battery specification of this phone. Since this is going to be a flagship device, we expect it to be priced around INR 50,000 in India. And that’s if Lenovo plans on selling it in the country.

The Nokia 8 and the Nokia 8 Sirocco are due in November and, the company has announced the list of all of its other smartphones that will be getting the update soon.
The key features of the Android 9 Pie include Slices, Adaptive Brightness and, the new and system navigation. The slices feature finds the relevant information on your favorite apps to make them more easily accessible whenever requires. The Adaptive Brightness feature automatically adapts handset’s brightness by learning from earlier interactions with different phone settings. The new system navigation, on the other hand, features a single home button that offers smart predictions and suggestions. Note that the feature is user-enabled.
The other notable feature that comes with the Android 9 Pie is the Digital Wellbeing feature. This is a Google feature that comes pre-installed with the latest OS and lets you keep track of where and how much time you are spending on your smartphone. It keeps count of the notifications each app sends, the amount of time you spend on each app on your phone, along with other important details. These details are presented in an easy data format and you can check on your smartphone addiction based on it.
Furthermore, you have the option to set time limits for each app, which would help you cut off the apps that take too much of your time. Like we mentioned earlier, the gesture navigation allows a single home button handling the tasks like switching between the apps, going to the home screen and makes the screen a full-view display.
Nokia 6.1 Core Specs
The Nokia 6.1 features a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS LCD display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 16:9. In the imaging department, the Nokia 6.1 features 16MP f/2.0 camera at the back with ZEISS optics, accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash for handling low-lightning shots. Apple launches the best iPad Pro it has ever created
Apple has launched the new iPad Pro at its October event alongside the MacBook Air and Mac Mini. The device sees a whole new design and a bunch of new features to mark a new generation iPad Pro that is arguably Apple’s best iPad to date.
Apple has adopted the design that was first introduced in the iPhone X by reducing the bezels of the device to maximize the screen size. The iPad Pro has the same LCD Liquid Retina display that is found on the iPhone XR. Reducing the bezels on the iPad Pro meant that there was no longer space for the Home button, which saw the move towards FaceID on the new iPad Pro. FaceID uses facial recognition technology to provide a security mechanism to secure your device, which replaces the standard fingerprint sensor implementation. To facilitate the removal of the home button, the iPad Pro now utilizes the gesture controls in iOS 12 that are seen in the new iPhones’.
11-inch iPad Pro and 12.9-inch iPad Pro
The new iPad Pro sees two models launched in New York today, an 11-inch model and a 12.9-inch model. The reduction of the bezels means that the new 11-inch model, despite having a bigger screen, fits into the same physical dimensional footprint as the previous 10.5-inch model. The 12.9-inch is also substantially smaller than its predecessor and is comparable to the size of an A4 piece of paper. The iPad Pro still retains very small bezels to ensure that you’ll still be able to hold it while consuming media – removing the bezels entirely just wouldn’t work on a tablet.
In addition to a physical redesign, Apple also announced a new Apple Pencil complete with gesture controls for shortcuts in supported apps such as changing pen type in Notes. The Apple Pencil now has a flat side to stop it rolling off the table and also has a new magnetic charging mechanism that can be used to secure the pen to the iPad Pro. It’s worth noting that it’s only compatible with the new iPad Pro and older generation Apple Pencils won’t work with the new models either.
The most powerful iPad Pro yet
It’s not just the physical design and accessories that saw changes in the latest generation of iPad Pro, the insides of the tablet also got a spec bump. The new iPad Pro models use the new A12X Bionic Chip, which is the same chip found in the latest iPhone devices. This means the iPad inherits a ton of features that the A12X brings thanks to its neural engine and on-the-fly encryption mechanisms.
Both the iPad Pro 11-inch and 12.9-inch variants will be sold in 64GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options but be prepared to pay for it! The 11-inch iPad Pro starts at $799 (roughly Rs. 58,800) in the US, while the 12.9-inch variant gets a starting price of $999 (around Rs. 73,500). In India, the prices don’t translate exactly so the 11-inch iPad Pro will start at Rs. 71,900, while the bigger model will retail starting at Rs. 89,900. The iPad Pro pre-orders in the US starting today (and 40 other countries and regions), on October 30, and will begin shipping from November 7. India is unfortunately not on the list of initial countries to get the iPad Pro but Apple has said it will launch the tablets in the country “later this year”.

Moving on to optics, the OnePlus 6T is equipped with a 16MP + 20MP dual-camera setup at the rear and a 16MP single selfie snapper on the front. Just like its predecessor, both the sensors at the rear are coupled with an f/1.7 aperture. However, only the primary 16MP snapper comes with optical image stabilization. To boost low-light performance, the OnePlus 6T features a new Nightscape feature. In the battery life department, OnePlus 6T is expected to perform even better than the OnePlus 6 (review), thanks to a 3700mAh capacity battery with Dash Charge support. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, NFC, and Dual 4G VoLTE. In terms of software, the OnePlus 6T runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system with the manufacturer’s OxygenOS 9.0 skin running on top. OnePlus has promised that the 6T will receive major OS upgrades for up to two years and security updates for up to three years.

Apple Inc. Revives MacBook Air: Adds Several Important Features And Upgrades
Apple held an important event today in New York. The company announced new MacBook Air, Mac Mini and other new products. The company is calling the new MacBook its ‘Greenest Mac Ever’.
Apple finally unveiled a refreshed MackBook Air. The revamp is one of the most important ones since the ultra-light but powerful laptop debuted about seven years ago. Apple announced the new MacBook Air with a new and vivid Retina Display, slimmer bezels, and even thinner and lighter body than the predecessors. Needless to mention, the MacBook Air has set new industry standards ever since it first launched, and the latest one is no exception. The new edition of the sleek laptop features a revolutionary new unibody that’s made from an entirely new alloy of Aluminum. Incidentally, the new device’s body is made from recycled Aluminum shavings.
The new MacBook Air refresh had a long time coming. Moreover, despite its several appealing features, new iOS Operating System, and powerful internals, the laptop will now have to compete with several powerful and sleek laptops, two-in-ones, convertible machines like HP Spectre, Microsoft Surface Pro 2, and even a few devices from Xiaomi. Let’s look at the specifications, features, price and availability of the new MackBook Air.
Meet the new MacBook Air, with a fresh new retina display, featuring…

4M pixels pic.twitter.com/32mWcgkx0w— CNET (@CNET) October 30, 2018
MackBook Air Specifications, Features
Apple last updated the MackBook Air in early 2017. However, several users complained the update was more of a mere refresh as the device merely had a newer chipset. The rest of the specifications remained identical to the previous version.
Apple has finally let go of the 1440 x 900 display in favor of the 2560 x 1600 resolution screen. In other words, the 13.3-inch Retina Display on the new MacBook Air has four times the resolution as the display on its predecessor. Moreover, Apple has successfully reduced the bezels and even managed to make the laptop slimmer. The new device is 17 percent smaller than the previous version, and weighs just 2.75 pounds (1.25 Kg).
A powerful dual-core 8th-gen U-series processor from Intel powers the new MacBook Air. Buyers can pack as much as 16GB of RAM and up to 1.5TB of storage. Incidentally, MacBok Air gets the faster SSDs instead of the slower HDD. Interestingly, the Intel U Series processors have a rating of just 15W. This means the new device should have a decent battery life. Incidentally, Apple assures the new MacBook Air offers up to 12 hours of web browsing or 13 hours of playing back videos from iTunes.
The new MacBook Air comes with TouchID, Apple’s own fingerprint recognition and authentication protocol. The authentication is backed by Apple’s own T2 security chip, which was launched last year. Interestingly, the technique can be used both for Apple apps, like Apple Pay, and third-party apps as well. The laptop also gets a large “Force Touch” trackpad. However, Apple has embedded the same butterfly keyboard as on the MacBook Pro, which drew some criticism. There are two thunderbolt 3 ports that can work as power supply, USB, HDMI, VGA and other connectors.
Apple MacBook Air Price, Availability
The newly launched Apple MacBook Air starts at $1,199. This translates to about Rs. 87,500. The base variant of the MacBook Air comes with 1.6GHz i5-8265U Intel CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB SSD. Apple has already begun taking pre-orders, and is promising shipments will begin shortly.
Apple appeared to have clearly prioritized the MacBook Pro range of laptops. As the name implies, the laptop was aimed at professionals. Apple upgraded the MacBook Pro regularly, and even introduced a 12-inch laptop, simply called “MacBook,” into the lineup. However, the just launched MacBook Air outpaces the 12-inch MacBook in several key areas, including a powerful new processor, RAM and even internal storage.

OnePlus 6T India Launch Set for Tonight: When and Where to Watch Live Streaming
Yesterday, OnePlus launched its latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 6T at an event in New York. Its Indian launch, however, will take place today at an event in Delhi starting at 8:30 PM IST. You can watch the OnePlus 6T India launch event live on YouTube. All the information about the OnePlus 6T is out, and the only valuable piece of information that the Indian launch will reveal is the device’s pricing. However, even the pricing of the device is already known. We were the first publication to leak the pricing of the OnePlus 6T. The base variant of the OnePlus 6T will retail for Rs. 37,999. The mid-level variant, which will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will cost Rs. 40,999, and the top-end variant with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage will cost Rs. 44,999.
Is OnePlus 6T a Significant Upgrade Over the OnePlus 6?
Although everyone is bragging about the device offering more features for the same price, I personally think that the OnePlus 6T is just an incremental upgrade over its predecessor. It brings only two improvements. The first is the larger battery capacity, and the second is its smaller notch. There are many things that the OnePlus 6T misses out on which the other flagships offer. For example, the device does not have IP-certified waterproofing, HDR display, or even stereo speakers. OnePlus could have made the 6T even better, but it looks like they were either short on time to implement all these features, or they are saving those features for their upcoming flagship smartphone.
Here Is Everything That OnePlus 6T Offers
The OnePlus 6T has quite a lot going on with its display. For starters, there is a fingerprint scanner hidden under the screen. It is also the first smartphone in the world to feature Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Unlike the OnePlus 6, which had an iPhone-like notch on its display, the OnePlus 6T comes with a smaller, water drop notch. The display is a 6.41-inch AMOLED unit with Full HD+ resolution and DCI-P3 color gamut.
The OnePlus 6T uses the same 16MP + 20MP dual-camera on the back as the OnePlus 6. However, according to OnePlus, they have improved things on the software side of the camera to enhance the image quality. The camera on the OnePlus 6T is also capable of recording 4K videos at 60 frames per second. Not many flagship smartphones can record 4K/60fps videos. Even the newly launched Huawei Mate 20 Pro can’t do it. Therefore, I think OnePlus has done a great job by offering 4K/60fps video recording at such an affordable price. The front-facing camera is a 16MP unit, which is again the same as that on the OnePlus 6.
The OnePlus 6T comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone will be available in three RAM and storage combinations. The cheapest variant will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, the mid-level variant will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the top-end variant will have 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. OnePlus is known to offer the latest version of Android OS at launch, and the OnePlus 6T is no different. The smartphone comes with Android 9 Pie customized with Oxygen OS. The Oxygen OS has a stock Android look but comes with a few added functionalities like dual-apps, gestures, OnePlus gallery, and a lot of customizability options.
OnePlus has bumped up the battery capacity on the OnePlus 6T to 3700mAh from 3300mAh on its predecessor. The smartphone continues to come with 20W Dash Charge fast charging technology. On the connectivity front, the device has two SIM card slots and 4G VoLTE connectivity. The smartphone has USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, and dual-band Wi-Fi ac. Unfortunately, this time around there is no 3.5mm audio jack. Hence, you’ll now have to use Type-C to 3.5mm adapter, which comes with bundled with the phone, or you have to switch to wireless headphones.
