The company’s latest Android smartphone is a successor to the OnePlus 6 from earlier this year and comes with quite a few upgrades when compared to its predecessor. The most notable upgrade is the in-display fingerprint sensor, which OnePlus claims is the fastest in the industry. OnePlus 6T has been launched as an Amazon-exclusive in India and is set to go on sale in the country for the first time on November 01.

OnePlus 6T Specs, Features
The OnePlus 6T sports a 6.41-inch AMOLED display featuring 1080 x 2340 Full HD+ resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection, and an 86% screen-to-body ratio. Along with a bigger display and a slimmer bottom chin, the OnePlus 6T also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor, which happens to be the device’s headline feature. Under the hood, the latest flagship smartphone from OnePlus runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor clocked at up to 2.8 GHz with an Adreno 630 GPU clocked at up to 710 MHz.
Moving on to optics, the OnePlus 6T is equipped with a 16MP + 20MP dual-camera setup at the rear and a 16MP single selfie snapper on the front. Just like its predecessor, both the sensors at the rear are coupled with an f/1.7 aperture. However, only the primary 16MP snapper comes with optical image stabilization. To boost low-light performance, the OnePlus 6T features a new Nightscape feature. In the battery life department, OnePlus 6T is expected to perform even better than the OnePlus 6 (review), thanks to a 3700mAh capacity battery with Dash Charge support. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, NFC, and Dual 4G VoLTE. Unfortunately, however, the smartphone does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of software, the OnePlus 6T runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system with the manufacturer’s OxygenOS 9.0 skin running on top. OnePlus has promised that the 6T will receive major OS upgrades for up to two years and security updates for up to three years.
