Earlier this month, Vivo had announced its latest mid-range smartphone, the Vivo V9 Pro, in India. The phone was available for purchase online and was exclusive to Amazon India. It was available in a single variant, which came with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Now, Vivo and Flipkart are partnering up to launch a 4GB variant of the V9 Pro. This phone will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting November 1.
Vivo will also be selling the V9 Pro at offline stores starting tomorrow, October 29. It will be competing against phones such as the Realme 2 Pro, Xiaomi Mi A2, Motorola One Power, Nokia 6.1 Plus, and others.
Vivo V9 Pro 4GB Variant Sale
The Vivo V9 Pro, as mentioned in the beginning, was first launched with 6GB of RAM. This variant is being sold at INR 17,990 on Amazon and Vivo’s E-Store. It will also be available at the same price at retail stores from tomorrow. The 4GB variant of the V9 Pro will be sold at INR 15,990, but it will be only available on Flipkart. We are not sure why Vivo shifted online retailers, but there must be some reason behind it.
Flipkart has already put up a banner for the upcoming sale and it mentions all the offers. Firstly, the phone’s actual price is INR 17,990, but the launch price is going to be INR 15,990. Over that, you can get additional discount of INR 1,000 when you pay using a Mastercard. This is only for first time card users though, so if you have used a card for payment before, then you will not be eligible for this offer.
Vivo V9 Pro Specifications and Features
Vivo is selling the V9 Pro in two color variants; Black, and Nebula Purple. This is a mid-range device from Vivo, which comes with decent specifications. It has a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a notch at the top. The display has a 19:9 aspect ratio and slim bezels. The phone comes with a glass body and aluminium frame, making it a better looking device than some of its competition.
Internally, the V9 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, which is a great mid-range chipset. This particular variant, which is exclusive to Flipkart, will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The storage is expandable, thanks to a built-in microSD card slot. Coming to the cameras, the phone features a dual-rear camera setup and a 12MP front camera for selfies and face unlock. The rear camera setup includes a primary 12MP sensor paired with a 2MP depth sensor. A fingerprint sensor is also available at the back and a 3,260mAh battery powers the smartphone. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo with Vivo’s FunTouch OS UI.
If you want to buy the 6GB variant of the Vivo V9 Pro, then you will need to go to Amazon India, or offline retailers. Those who are interested in the 4GB variant, which costs less, can get the phone on Flipkart, starting November 1. This is a great phone for those who want a mid-range powerhouse on a budget. There are other phones in the similar price range, but the Vivo V9 Pro has better aesthetics. Its main competitors are the Realme 2 Pro and the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The Nokia 6.1 Plus is also good alternative, but that has a smaller screen and battery. In the end, the choice is yours.
