Samsung recently launched its first 2019 Galaxy A-series Android smartphones at an event held in India. While only three Galaxy A-series smartphones have gone official so far, the company is expected to launch a few more A-series devices in the coming months. One such device, the Galaxy A40 was granted certification by the Bluetooth SIG yesterday. We have now heard from one of our trusted sources that the Galaxy A40 will soon go on sale in various European countries.
Samsung Galaxy A40 to be Priced at EUR 249
According to our source, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A40 will be priced at EUR 249 (INR 20,100 approx.) in most European countries. And while we cannot confirm it at this stage, there is a chance that the smartphone may be launched in India as well. Samsung had recently confirmed that it plans to launch one new Galaxy A-series smartphone in the Indian market every month till June. That means we can expect at least three more A-series handsets to go on sale in India by June.
As the name clearly suggests, the Galaxy A40 will be positioned between the Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50 smartphones. The smartphone is likely to feature the same 6.4-inch Infinity-U Super AMOLED display as the Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50 smartphones with 1080 x 2340 Full HD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, Galaxy A40 may be powered by the same 14nm Exynos 7904 octa-core chipset as the Galaxy A30. In terms of memory, the smartphone is expected to include 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Similar to the other new A-series smartphones, the Galaxy A40 will include a dedicated microSD card slot for further storage expansion up to 512GB. The smartphone’s camera hardware, however, remains a complete mystery. On the software front, Galaxy A40 will debut with Samsung’s new One UI based on Android Pie.
