Xiaomi’s 100W Super Charge Turbo Technology that Can Charge 4000 mAh Battery in 17mins to be Announced Tomorrow

Xiaomi is all set to announce its own flash charging technology in China tomorrow. The popular Chinese brand has decided to call the technology “Super Charge Turbo”. While more specific details will only be made public tomorrow, the company’s co-founder and President Bin Lin shared a video on Weibo demonstrating the new technology.

Xiaomi Super Charge Turbo to Support 100W Fast Charging

The Xiaomi “Super Charge Turbo” technology will be the world’s fastest flash charging technology, offering a whopping 100W wired fast charging support. As demonstrated in the video below, the technology makes it possible for a smartphone with a 4000mAh capacity battery to be fully charged in just 17 minutes. That’s significantly faster than any current wired fast charging solution. Huawei’s 55W SuperCharge technology in the Mate X allows the device’s 4500mAh battery to charge from 0 to 85% in 30 minutes.

In the video above, Xiaomi compared its 100W fast charging solution against rival OPPO’s 50W fast charging solution. It took just 7 minutes for the Xiaomi smartphone to be charged up to the 50% mark. The OPPO smartphone, in comparison was charged to 65% in the same time that it took the Xiaomi phone to be fully charged.
