OPPO Reno Budget Smartphone Images Surface on TENAA Revealing Dual Cameras, Rear Fingerprint Sensor

Just a few days back, variants of an upcoming OPPO Reno smartphone powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset were certified by TENAA. The Chinese regulatory authority has now certified the PCAT10 and PCAM10 variants of what appears to be a budget-friendly version of the OPPO Reno.

OPPO Reno Series to Have a Budget Model Too?

The PCAT10 and PCAM10 listings on the TENAA website suggest OPPO’s upcoming Reno line of smartphones will include a budget model as well. As can be seen in the images below, the device will have a waterdrop notch at the top of the display. The other two OPPO Reno versions leaked online so far have a notch-less display with a rising selfie camera. At the rear, we find the PCAT10 and PCAM10 have a dual-camera setup with an LED flash module positioned right below. An oval-shaped fingerprint sensor module is also placed on the back of the phone.

Moving on to the hardware specs, the OPPO PCAT10 and PCAM10 variants feature a 6.5-inch TFT LCD display panel with 1080 x 2340 Full HD+ resolution. Under the hood, both variants run on an octa-core processor clocked at 2.1 GHz, clubbed with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For optics, the budget Reno smartphone will come equipped with a 16MP + 2MP dual-camera setup at the rear and a 16MP snapper housed within the waterdrop-style notch on the front. The smartphone’s internals will be fueled by a 3910mAh capacity battery, although it remains to be seen if it will offer fast charging support. As for dimensions, the TENAA listing reveals the device measures 162 x 76.1 x 8.3mm and weighs 190 grams. We expect the budget Reno smartphone to debut alongside the Snapdragon 855- and Snapdragon 710-powered models on April 10 in China. The Reno series is being teased by OPPO globally, so it will not be exclusive to the Chinese market.
