Vivo launched the Vivo S1 Pro smartphone back in May 2019 in China, and so far, the device is yet to be launched in India. It’s never too late, they say, and Vivo is certainly following that statement. As it turns out, the Vivo S1 Pro is tipped to launch in the country in the month go January 2020 (mid-January, if the source has to be believed). The Vivo S1 Pro was launched in two memory configurations in China – 6GB/256GB and 8GB/128GB. Vivo planned to let the potential buyers decide the trade-off between the RAM and the internal storage as both the memory variants cost the same – CNY 2,698. We can certainly expect the Vivo S1 Pro to cost somewhere around ₹ 28,000 in India.

The Vivo S1 Pro comes with a 6.39-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,340 × 1,080 pixels. Vivo has kept the bezels at a minimum with the Vivo S1 Pro as the device utilizes a pop-up camera mechanism. The device runs on a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor, which, as said, comes paired with an Adreno 612 GPU, 6GB/8GB of RAM and 256GB/128GB of onboard storage. The storage can further be expanded by up to 256GB with the help of an external SD card. The device is available in two color options – Blue and Red.
Coming to the software, the Vivo S1 Pro boots Android 9 Pie out of the box with FunTouch OS 9.2 skin on top. The source suggests that there is a possibility that the Vivo S1 Pro could bring the new FunTouch OS 10 Indian version when it launches in the country. At the battery front, we get a 3,700mAh cell fueling the Vivo S1 Pro, which is capable of 22.5W fast-charging. For the camera enthusiasts, the Vivo S1 Pro features a triple camera setup at the back, which consists of a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. The selfie snapper is a 32MP unit, which, as said, sits inside the pop-up mechanism. Connectivity features of the Vivo S1 Pro include 4G VoLTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/GLONASS, and USB Type-C port.
