The price point the device is being offered at makes it a direct competitor to the previously launched smartphones in the mid-range segment, like the Redmi K20 and the Realme X2 smartphones. The company has launched the device in only one memory configuration – 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Realme X2, on the other hand, comes in three memory variants in the country. The base variant of the device with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage is priced at ₹16,999, the 6GB RAM, and 128GB, internal storage variant of the device, is priced at ₹18,999, and the 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant will fetch you ₹19,999. Talking about the Redmi K20 smartphone, the 6GB/64GB variant of the device is available for ₹19,999, and the 6GB/128GB variant is priced at ₹22,999.

If the price is the deciding factor, the Realme X2 takes the lead here.

Vivo S1 Pro vs. Realme X2 vs. Redmi K20: Display

When we talk about the displays of the device, all the three smartphones that we are comparing utilize an AMOLED panel. The Vivo S1 Pro features a 6.38-inches FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 2340 × 1080 pixels resolution. The Redmi K20 and the Realme X2, on the other hand, feature almost identical 6.4-inch AMOLED panels with a 1920 x 2340 pixels resolution, a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and a 403 pixels per inch pixel density. While the Realme X2 and the Vivo S1 Pro sport a waterdrop notch display, the Redmi K20 features a pop-up display, which provides for a more distraction-free viewing experience. The Redmi K20 has an advantage because of the pop-up camera mechanism, but it would ultimately boil down to personal preference.

Vivo S1 Pro vs. Realme X2 vs. Redmi K20: Performance, Software

The Vivo S1 Pro is equipped with an 11nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset (with Quad 2GHz Kryo 260 + Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 260 CPUs) which is paired with an Adreno 610 GPU, 8GB of LPPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB of internal memory. Compared to that, the Realme X2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset, which is aimed at gaming. Lastly, the Redmi K20 smartphone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC, which is a tad bit inferior when compared to its 730G counterpart. When it comes to the processing power, the Realme X2 wins the round owing to a better processor.

Moving on to the OS, all the three smartphones that we are comparing run on totally different skins built on top of Android 9 Pie. The Vivo S1 Pro runs on FunTouch OS 9, the Realme X2 runs on Color OS 6 (with a promised Color OS 7 update in the future, which will be “close to stock Android”), and the Redmi K20 smartphone runs on MIUI 11. As far as the OS is the parameter, we can’t really make one skin a winner, as all three of them have their own set of pros and cons. That said, it is worth keeping in mind that the Redmi K20 smartphones have started receiving the Android 10 update.

The Vivo S1 Pro features a quad-camera setup at the back (48MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture + 8MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture + 2MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture + 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture) and a 32MP selfie snapper. The Redmi K20, on the other hand, features a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP primary unit (48MP + 13MP + 8MP), and a 20MP front camera that pops-up if and when required. Lastly, the Realme X2 comes with a quad rear camera setup (64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP) and a 32MP selfie shooter onboard. Though the actual life results might vary, the Realme X2 takes the lead when it comes to the on-paper specifications and numbers.

There is no denying the fact that all the three smartphones that we compared are pretty solid devices in the price segment they are kept at. But, since we promised that we would make your buying choice easier, we have to take out a winner, and the winner turns out to be the Realme X2. The Realme X2 has the best processor amongst the three, has a bigger resolution camera setup, and costs lesser than the other two smartphones.
