Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite with S Pen Support Teased to Launch in India Soon: Features, Expected Price

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite has been out in the global markets for some time now, however, it did not make its way to India due to the strict lockdown being imposed by the government to handle the COVID-19 crisis. Now Samsung India’s official Twitter handle has tweeted that the Tab S6 Lite is coming soon to the country. To recall, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite has first released only for the Indonesian market back in April. The Tab S6 is already being sold in India for a price of Rs 52,999 for the WiFi-only version.

Galaxy Tab S6 Lite: Specifications and expected price

When launched last month in China, the Tab S6 Lite was priced at CNY 2,799 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage WiFi-only version which is about Rs 30,000. The highest-end LTE version which offers 128GB of storage has a price tag of CNY 3,399 which is about Rs 36,000. We can expect similar pricing in India as well although there is no clarity on when the device will be announced in the county.

The Tab S6 Lite has a 10.4-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 2,000 x 1,200 pixels. Under the hood, the tablet will run on the Exynos 9611 SoC which is supported by up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. In terms of battery, the Tab S6 Lite happens to have the same 7,000mAh battery that can be seen on the flagship Tab S6. Software-wise the Tab S6 Lite will be expected to run on the OneUI 2.0 which is based on Android 10.

The tablet will have support for the S-pen stylus just like the Tab S6. In terms of optics, the Tab S6 Lite has an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Apart from that the device has a headphone jack for audio and two AKG-powered speakers that also support Dolby Atmos. It remains to be seen how soon Samsung announces the Tab S6 Lite in India.
