OnePlus 9 follows Samsung Galaxy S2I’s footsteps, could be launched earlier than usual in 2021

OnePlus recently launched its OnePlus 8T smartphone, and has reportedly already started working on its upcoming flagship series, the OnePlus 9 series already. The OnePlus 9 series is said to follow a slightly different launch timeline and might launch “sooner than expected.” The report comes right after the one stating that Samsung would also launch its Samsung Galaxy S21 series earlier than its usual launch timeline, and we might get to see the Samsung Galaxy S21 lineup as early as January 2021. OnePlus 9 tipped to launch earlier than expected

As per a new report, the OnePlus 9 could launch sometime during March 2021. More precisely, the launch could very well happen mid-month, so we can expect the OnePlus 9 to become a thing around March 15, 2021. That being said, the report suggests that OnePlus has not settled on a release date yet and the information comes from an insider source. Therefore, it is always a good idea to take this news with a slight grain of salt before things become officially clear.

As far as the specifications and features of the device are concerned, these are still early days to even speculate, but we can very well expect the OnePlus 9 to come with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 5G processor, which will be based on a 5nm architecture. Plus, we can expect the OnePlus 9 to sport 65W fast charging as well. Plus, it is more than certain that the device will boot the latest Android 11 OS out of the box. Lastly, the device will most certainly come with (at least) a 120Hz refresh rate display.
