Samsung Galaxy P30 Gets 3C Certification, Launch Imminent?

According to a recent report, Samsung might be launching two new P-series smartphones- P30 and P30 Plus. The alleged smartphones will be the first ones to represent in-display fingerprint sensor technology from Samsung. The devices are expected to launch at the company’s upcoming ‘4X the Fun’ launch event on October 11.

Samsung Galaxy P30: 3C Certificate Issued

We already reported the storage and color options of Galaxy P30, as published by SamMobile. In the latest development, we have discovered that the Samsung Galaxy P30 has received the 3C certification as well.

You can see the model number SM-G6200 mentioned on the certificate, which belongs to the Galaxy P30. Since the certificate has already been issued, we are sensing an upcoming launch, quite possibly on October 11. The device will initially be China-exclusive, but we are expecting a sooner launch in the global market since in-display fingerprint scanner technology is not unheard of.

Samsung Galaxy P30: Rumored Specifications, Features

According to the report published by SamMobile, the Galaxy P30 will be offered in two storage variants – 64GB and 128GB and four gradient colors – Blue, Pink, Black, and Red.

As mentioned earlier, the major highlight of the Galaxy P30 will be an in-display fingerprint sensor. While the other smartphone makers have already explored the domain, this would be the first for Samsung. The company’s 2019 flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S10 is also rumored to come with this feature. However, the Galaxy S10 will not utilize an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, unlike the existing smartphones with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Instead, the device is rumored to feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, which offers greater accuracy rates.

Not much is known about the other specifications of the Samsung Galaxy P30 and P30 Plus. However, the devices are rumored to feature LCD display panels and Samsung is reportedly using new LCD panels from JDI, the reason being compatibility with the new in-display fingerprint sensors. We are expecting the Galaxy P30 and Galaxy P30 Plus to feature Full HD+ resolution with an aspect ratio 18.5:9 or may be higher. There is no information on the processor of the devices, although it is highly likely that the two smartphones ship with an Exynos 7885 octa-core processor.
