Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has finally taken the veil off its Honor 30 series of smartphones. The company has launched three devices under the Honor 30 lineup – Honor 30, Honor 30 Pro, and Honor 30 Pro Plus. So far, the Honor 30 series has launched in China and the company has not talked about the global launch of the series yet. Nevertheless, we now have the Chinese pricing, as well as the full specifications of the devices. Honor 30 Series: Price and Availability
Starting with the Honor 30, the base variant of the device with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage is priced at CNY 2,999, which roughly translates to somewhere around Rs 32,500. There are two more memory variants on the device – one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage, which is priced at CNY 3,199 (around Rs 34,600) and one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage, which is priced at CNY 3,499 (or around Rs 37,990).
The Honor 30 Pro comes in two memory variants – one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which is priced at CNY 3,999 (around Rs 43,300) and one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which is priced at CNY 4,399 (around Rs 47,600).
Lastly, the Honor 30 Pro Plus comes in two memory variants – the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant of the device is priced at CNY 4,999 (around Rs 54,200) and the 12GB RAM and 256GB variant is priced at CNY 5,499 (around Rs 59,500).
All three devices in the Honor 30 series are already up for pre-orders in China and will go on sale from April 21, 2020.
Honor 30: Specifications and Features
Starting with the display of the device, the Honor 30 features a 6.53-inch Full HD+ OLED panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display of the device features a single punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, which is located in the top left corner. Moving around on the rear of the device, the Honor 30 boasts a quadruple rear camera setup, which consists of a 40MP primary camera, a telephoto camera with 50x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. The front camera is a 32MP selfie snapper.

Under the hood, the Honor 30 is powered by the company’s in-house Kirin 985 chipset, which is paired with up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB onboard storage, and a Mali-G77 octa-core GPU. In the software department, the Honor 30 boots on the latest Android 10 OS out of the box with Magic UI 3.1.1 baked on top of it. In terms of battery life, the Honor 30 packs in a 4,000mAh battery, which has scope for up to 40W fast charging.
Honor 30 Pro and Honor 30 Pro Plus: Specifications and Features
Both Honor 30 Pro and Honor 30 Pro Plus feature the same 6.57-inch 70-degree curved waterfall OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The Honor 30 Pro and Honor 30 Pro Plus sport a dual punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, located in the top left corner of the device’s display.

Powering the Honor 30 Pro and the Honor 30 Pro Plus is the Kirin 990 5G processor, which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. On the software side of things, both devices ship with the latest Android 10 OS out of the box with the Magic UI 3.1.1 skin on top. Both devices feature an under-display fingerprint scanner as well. As far as the batteries of the devices are concerned, both devices boast a 4,000mAh battery with 40W fast charging. The Honor 30 Pro Plus comes with support for 27W fast wireless charging.
For the photography enthusiasts out there, the Honor 30 Pro Plus features a 50MP RYYB Sony IMX700 sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens, which comes with a 50x digital zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, 5x optical zoom and dual OIS, a 16MP ultra-wide angle lens. The Honor 30 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a 40MP RYYB IMX600 sensor, a telephoto lens with 50x digital zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, 5x optical zoom, and a 16MP ultra-wide angle lens. At the front, both Honor 30 Pro and Honor 30 Pro Plus come with a 32MP primary lens and an 8MP secondary front camera.
