LG has officially launched the LG Q7 at a very attractive price in India. With the price staring at just Rs. 15,990, the LG Q7 is one of the most affordable devices with very decent specifications and features.
The South Korean electronics giant has stepped up its activities in the smartphone market. LG launched three variants from the Q Series, LG Q7, LG Q7+, and LG Q7 Alpha in June, this year. All the three smartphones sport a slim bezel, and yet, have a military-grade metallic body. The supposed armored exterior of the LG Q Series smartphones reportedly passed 14 of the MIL-STD 810G tests. Interestingly, the company had deliberately not revealed the pricing of the smartphones, until today.
LG has confirmed the price of LG Q7’s pricing in India. Moreover, the company has officially launched the device in the country. LG will begin selling the LG Q7 in India in September, which is barely a few days away. LG Q7: Specifications
The LG Q7 is the entry-level smartphone in the Q-Series from LG. Given the pricing, the company has offered decent specifications within the smartphone. The device has a 5.5-inch full-HD FullVision display with a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Surprisingly, the screen manages to pack 441PPI pixel density.
An octa- MediaTek 6750S processor, paired with Adreno 506 GPU, powers the LG Q7. The SoC is clocked at 1.5GHz. The smartphone gets 3GB of RAM. For storage, the Q7 will have 32GB, expandable up to 2TB via a micro-SD card.
For imaging, the Q7 has a single camera on the back. The 13MP sensor comes with PDAF lens. An 8MP camera sits on the front.
On connectivity front, the Q7 gets 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C (version 2.0). It is interesting and refreshing to see LG bringing the USB Type C reversible connector to such budget offerings. Hereto the USB Type C was restricted to mid-range and premium devices only.
A 3,000 mAh battery powers the smartphone. The device gets Qualcomm’s Fast Charge technology. LG claims users can get the device up to 50 percent of charge in just 30 minutes. The Q7 measures 143.8×69.3×8.4mm and weighs 145 grams. The device runs Android 8.0 Oreo.
LG Q7: Features
Despite the rather humble camera specifications and pricing, the LG Q7 does come with premium features such as Portrait mode, Hi-Fi quality audio with Quad DAC, QLens, and DTS:X 3D Surround Sound with 7.1 channel support. There is a Smart Rear Key fingerprint sensor that also works as a camera shutter button. Besides quickly unlocking the smartphone and taking selfies, it also allows capturing screenshots and controlling the notification bar.

There’s only a single variant of LG Q7 with 3GB RAM + 32GB internal memory. Surprisingly, The Q7 is priced at 495,000 Korean Won, which is approximately Rs. 31,000 in India. However, LG launched the device in India for just Rs. 15,990.
The LG Q7 comes in several color variants including Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue, and Lavender Violet. LG will start selling the Q7, and perhaps the higher variants starting next month in India.
