Vodafone Hikes Data Benefits of Select Prepaid Recharge Plans to Offer Up to 235.2GB of 3G/4G Data

With the increasing data war in the telecom industry, the bid to woo the customers has intensified. Telecom operators are rolling out new recharge plan and updating the existing ones almost every now and then. In the recent development, Vodafone has announced that it will offer 235.2GB of 3G/4G data with its Rs. 458 prepaid plan for select users.

Vodafone Revised Prepaid Recharge Plans: Details

As per the revised plan, the Rs. 458 plan will offer 235.2GB of 3G/4G data. This translates to a total of 2.8GB data benefit per day. The plan holds a validity of 84 days. While a certain set of users are receiving the Rs. 458 plan, some users will get the same benefits at just Rs 398. Besides the data incentives, the recharge plan of Rs. 458/Rs 398 also offers unlimited voice calling benefits but does not include any SMS benefits. Note that Vodafone is offering these plans to select users for now. Also, the price of the plan differs as well. And, the benefits of the plan vary from user to user. Some users are also getting 100 SMS per day benefit with the Rs. 458 prepaid recharge plan.

Other Plans from Vodafone

Besides the newly rolled out plan, Vodafone has prepaid recharge plans worth Rs 199, Rs 255, Rs 349, Rs 399, Rs 458 and Rs 509 that offer great data and call benefits. The Rs 199, Rs 349, Rs 399, Rs 458 and Rs 509 prepaid plans offer 1.4GB data benefit daily. Vodafone has also revised the existing Rs 199 along with Rs 458 prepaid plan to provide double data benefit of 2.8GB data per day for the same validity period of 28 days. With this Rs 458 plan, the telecom has downgraded the value of per GB data to Rs 1.94.

Vodafone Rs 159 Prepaid Plan: Details of Benefits

Vodafone recently launched Rs. 159 recharge plan for prepaid recharge plans. Under the plan, the telecom’s subscribers are benefitted unlimited voice calling. Also, by unlimited, it means that the plan comes with a daily cap of 250 minutes. Furthermore, the telecom operator is still allowing more than 4 hours of talk-time every day.

Apart from 250 minutes per day, subscribers can’t have more than 1,000 minutes, or little more than 16 hours, per week. Needless to mention, the weekly limit appears more restrictive than the daily limit. Vodafone doesn’t allow calling more than 100 unique numbers during the entire validity period.

Additionally, the Rs. 159 prepaid recharge plan from Vodafone, subscribers will also get 100 SMSes per day. And, the SMS limit varies according to the circle. Some of the subscribers also receive 100 SMSes during the entire validity of the plan, while in other circles, the telecom does not offer any SMS benefits at all.

Moving on to the major highlight of the plan- Data benefits. Under the Rs. 159 prepaid recharge plan, Vodafone is offering 1GB of high-speed 4G data every day for the entire duration of the plan. This translates to a total of 28GB of data for a duration of 28 days.

Vodafone has rolled out this prepaid recharge plan to take on Reliance Jio’s plan priced at Rs. 149 plan. However, there are no extra benefits separating this plan from that of Jio’s. The telecom operator has also confirmed what happens after the daily 1GB limit is hit. It is possible, though, the telecom operator will offer unlimited browsing at highly downgraded browsing speeds. Also, you will not get any data after the 1GB data cap every day.

Furthermore, Jio’s Rs. 149 prepaid plan currently offers unlimited voice calling benefits without any FUP constraints along 100 SMS per day, and total data of 1GB  (4G) data per day for 28 days with unlimited browsing at restricted internet speeds.
