Honor 7S Flash Sale to be Held on Flipkart Today at 12PM: Price in India, Features, Offers

Honor 7S will be available to purchase during a Flash Sale today on Flipkart. The entry-level Android smartphone from Huawei’s sub-brand offers some appealing features and packs decent specifications despite sporting an aggressively low price.

Honor launched the Honor 7S smartphone recently. Given the pricing and specifications, the smartphone rivals the popular Xiaomi Redmi 6A, the Micromax YU Ace, and similarly priced entry-level Android smartphones. Each of these devices has a few unique highlights and certainly offer value for money. However, buyers looking for their first Android smartphone cannot go wrong with the Honor 7S. The highly affordable handset will be available for purchase during a Flash Sale today, on September 21 at 12PM. Incidentally, Honor recently offered the smartphone at a token amount of just one Rupee. Let’s look at the specifications and features of the entry-level Android smartphone so that buyers can take an informed decision.

Honor 7S: Price, Flash Sale On Flipkart

The Honor 7S costs Rs. 6,999. The entry-level Android phone is available in a single memory configuration. For the asking price, buyers get 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The smartphone is available in Black, Blue, and Gold color options. Incidentally, besides Flipkart, the handset also sells on Honor India website HiHonor.

It is quite apparent that with the 7S, Honor wants to compete against the most popular handsets in this category, including the Xiaomi Redmi 6A. Interestingly, Micromax too, has an interesting smartphone in this very category. Moreover, while the Redmi packs only a 3,000mAh battery, the Micromax YU Ace has a much larger 4,000mAh unit. Nonetheless, Honor 7S certainly has a appealing combination of highly affordable pricing, decent specifications, and a reliable international brand. These aspects make the mobile phone a very attractive option to customers looking for their first Android smartphone  who are on a rather frugal budget.

During the Flash Sale, HDFC Bank Credit Card, RBL Credit Cards, as well as Axis Bank Buzz Credit Card users get five percent off on the selling price. No Cost EMI options on the Redmi 6 begin at just Rs. 2,333 per month. Flipkart also offers exchange bonus up to Rs. 6,450 on select old smartphones. Buyers can check the listing for the various color variants for specific details. In partnership with Reliance Jio, buyers get  Rs. 2200 cash-back and 50GB additional data.

Honor 7S: Specifications, Features

The Honor 7S has a 5.45-inch FullView HD+ IPS LCD screen with a 1440 x 720 resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. Surprisingly, the phone has aluminum body, and the display is protected by a 2.5D curved glass. The smartphone has a decent screen to body ratio of 73 percent.

A quad-core MediaTek MT6739 processor, paired with a PowerVR Rogue GE8100 GPU, powers the smartphone. The chipset should be fine for media consumption and everyday use. There’s 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage onboard. A dedicated micro-SD card onboard the handset allows buyers can add another 128GB of storage.

The Honor 7S sports a single 13MP rear camera on the back. The camera comes with PDAF, and an LED flash. The front 5MP camera for selfies and video-calling too, gets a soft LED flash.

A rather humble 3,020mAh battery powers the Honor 7S. There’s no Fast Charging support. However, the smartphone has Honor’s new Smart battery management 6.0. The intelligent system offers smart power saving and background power management. Connectivity options on the entry-level Android smartphone include, 4G VoLTE support, Dual-SIM, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, GLONASS, FM Radio, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and micro-USB charging and data transfer port. The handset measures 146.5 x 70.9 x 8.3mm and weighs 142 grams.

The smartphone does have the 3.5mm headphone jack. But it lacks a fingerprint sensor, which the Redmi 6A and the Micromax YU Ace have. Surprisingly, the smartphone supports Face Unlock. The Honor 7S runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.1 operating system out of the box. One of the highlights of the entry-level Android smartphone is the presence of a low blue light feature. Honor claims the feature is helpful in protecting eyes of the user from display glare, especially under low light conditions or at night.
