Logitech is on the rise in the tech world. The company releases new keyboards annually, but this year has been toying with more areas that are keyboard-demanding. In the last nine months, Logitech has launched a G413 gaming keyboard, G305 gaming mouse, and G512 mechanical gaming keyboard. An Apple Pencil alternative, iPhone wireless charger, and vertical gaming mouse round out the new product list. Logitech’s work is always moving forward, so the company is announcing its new Logitech K600 TV Keyboard that controls the smart TV and the computer.
Logitech K600 directional pad for TV remote control
The Logitech K600 TV Keyboard is similar to what you’d expect of computer keyboards, but it also features some neat additions, too. One such addition is a directional pad. The directional pad allows you to use the TV Keyboard as a remote control for your smart TV. Think of it as the ultimate form of laziness: you can now type out that research paper or email without having to get up to change the channel. Of course, you could always just put the TV remote beside you, but who needs to remember two devices when the K600 TV Keyboard is a 2-in-1?
Logitech K600: Wireless range, battery life, price and availability
If you want to connect it via to your Smart TV, keep in mind that the TV keyboard has a 50-foot wireless range. Battery life on the K600 lasts for 12 months, so you won’t need to change the batteries every six months (as Dish satellite owners must change their TV remote batteries every six months). The K600 costs $69.99 and lands next month (October 2018).
Logitech K600-compatible Smart TVs

Okay, so you’re all hyped about the new TV Keyboard. The question that comes to mind now is, “Is the Logitech K600 compatible with my smart TV?” And that’s a good question.
Logitech has a list of smart TVs that are compatible with the new TV Keyboard, but I’ll list a few models here:
- LG TV (WebOS)
- Samsung TV (Tizen)
- Sony BRAVIA (Android TV/Fire TV)
- Phillips (Android TV/Fire TV)
Logitech does have some recognition of unsupported TVs. If your smart TV is unsupported, be aware that some of the keys on the Logitech K600 may not work at all.
The goal of technology is to make our lives better, more productive, more efficient. The Logitech K600 TV Keyboard is one of those devices that just may do that by allowing us to use one keyboard to control both devices (computer and smart TV).
Now that is truly smart.
