Micromax recently launched a new entry level smartphone called the YU ACE. The company launched a smartphone after a year of hiatus. The YU ACE is a decent entry level smartphone, and in this post, we shall compare it with two other devices of the same range.

As all of three are entry-level smartphones, the companies haven’t really focused on design much. You get a generic aluminium body and a glass front from all three.
The YU ACE gets a 5.45-inch HD+ LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, the Redmi 5A gets a 5-inch HD LCD display with 16:9 aspect ratio, and the Infinix Smart 2 also comes with a 5.5-inch LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio and HD+ display.

The Redmi 5A is the only phone here that comes with a Qualcomm chipset. It is powered by a Snapdragon 425, and gets up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. While the other two also come with a maximum of 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM, they get a MediaTek MT6739 processor.
In terms of performance then, the Redmi 5A will definitely be better than the other devices in this list. All three devices do get a microSD slot for expanding storage.

In the camera department, all three devices come with a single rear camera. There’s a 13MP sensor at the back, along with an LED flash. For selfies, the Redmi 5A and the Micromax YU ACE gets a 5MP front camera, while the Infinix Smart 2 gets a slightly better 8MP sensor.
If you are someone who likes taking a lot of selfies, then the Infinix Smart 2 is the best choice among the three. You do get software enhancements on all three devices, such as Portrait mode, Beauty Mode, and so on.

The YU ACE has the biggest battery among the three. It gets a 4000mAh battery, that should easily last two days on a single charge. The Redmi 5A gets a 3000mAh battery, and the Infinix Smart 2 comes with a 3050mAh battery. None of the phone feature fast charging though.
In terms of software, the phones come with their respective UIs on top of Android 8.0 Oreo. The Redmi 5A will be getting an update to MIUI 10 very soon.

If you’re looking for a phone with a big screen and a big battery, then you better go for the new Micromax YU ACE. The Infinix Smart 2 is also a good alternative, but we would suggest the YU ACE instead. The Redmi 5A is out-dated, as Xiaomi will be releasing the Redmi 6A in the next few days.
