Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Launched in India With Alexa Voice Remote

After the immense success of the Fire TV Stick, Amazon today announced its next-gen Fire TV Stick 4K in the Indian market. It is dubbed as one of the most powerful streaming media stick from the brand. Alongside the device, the e-commerce giant also introduced their all-new Alexa Voice Remote with the support for TV Control.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K comes with a faster streaming experience

The Fire TV Stick 4K, as the name suggests, supports the 4K resolution allowing you to access content in 4K Ultra HD. The next-gen stick is powered by a much faster quad-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz. According to the brand, the new Fire TV Stick is now 80 percent more powerful than the previous generation. The updated processor will deliver a fast streaming experience thanks to the quicker load time and improved picture quality. On top of that, it supports both the Dolby Vision and HDR 10+ making it the first streaming device to come with such features.

Apart from that, the all-new Fire TV Stick also improves your overall TV-watching experience. With the help of Alexa skills, you can now book a cab, order food online, stream favourite music and much more right from your television. If you have the Echo devices at your household, then you can use it with the stick for easier far-field control. You will first have to pair your Echo device to the Fire TV and then with the help of Alexa you can control playback, access different content and search for your favorite apps.

Just like the previous model, the Fire TV Stick 4K supports all the major streaming services like Prime Video, Hotstar, Netflix, Sony LIV, Zee5, and others. You can also access your favorite websites like Youtube, Facebook, and Reddit via the pre-installed FireFox or Silk browser.

Alexa Voice Remote is now much smarter, comes with TV support

As mentioned previously, Amazon also introduced the new Alexa Voice Remote in India. The Voice Remote now combines Bluetooth and multidirectional infrared technology to give you a seamless experience. It is powered by proprietary cloud-based service from Amazon letting you control your TV as well as Fire TV stick simultaneously. The remote has dedicated basic buttons like Power, Volume and Mute to control your TV, soundbar and other similar equipment. The good thing is you can even use this remote with your older Fire TV Stick since it is backward compatible.

The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4k comes with a price tag of Rs. 5,999 in India. The bundle would also include the brand new Alexa Voice Remote. Additionally, you can also purchase the remote separately for your existing Fire TV Stick at Rs. 1,999. Both the products are up for pre-order starting from today on Amazon India. The brand will start the shipping of these products from November 14.

Also, It is worth noting that Amazon is bringing the Alexa support to the existing Fire TV Stick via a software update starting from November 14 allowing you to enjoy the Far-Field control even in older models.
