Apple Expected to Hold an Event in October: Could Launch iPad Pro (2018), New MacBook Pro?

At the recent September launch event, Apple was expected to announce many products other than just the iPhones. However, a new October launch event now set to be held, we could see announcements on the latest products from the Cupertino based giants, that went unannounced during the last one. During the September event, we saw Apple launch three new iPhones in the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR. If reports are accurate, the October event could see Apple launch hardware products including the new iPad Pro, which has been in the pipeline for a long time now, thanks to the many rumours that have been reminding us of it till now.

What to Expect from Apple’s October launch event?

There isn’t much information on what Apple might release during the October event. However, there’s news that Apple might launch the new iPad Pro. Additionally, we could also see new MacBooks, as there is a big possibility for that to happen unless Apple decides to have another launch event before the end of this year.

Are New MacBooks Expected?

Probably! Since Apple has already released an all-new MacBook Pro lineup earlier this year, one might not think of Apple releasing new models just yet. The recently released MacBook Pro models did see significant changes such as superior performances, True Tone displays, new T2 Chip and many more other features, improvements. Although nothing is ruled out yet and there is every possibility Apple might release new MacBooks even Pro models. There were rumours about an affordable MacBook, MacBook Air model and a MacBook Pro model without the Touch Bar. These products could be the talk of this October Event and users could well see the release of the new MacBooks, including a MacBook Pro, despite only releasing new models of the Pro back in July this year.

Apple iPad Pro (New)

About the September event, many were left disappointed with Apple for no announcing the iPad, but there were reasons for that. The rumours of a new Apple iPad Pro have been rife around the tech world. The October launch event could very well be the platform Apple decides to unveil the new iPad Pro to its audience. There’s plenty of suggestions of changes Apple might bring to the new iPad Pro, and fans have every right to be excited about it.

Comparing the current iPad pro that is on sale, the new model will have a design change. Apple iPad Pro will be switching to a new, full-screen design, with the reduced width of the surrounding border. Apple will also bid goodbye to the home button on the iPad Pro much like in the new iPhones released earlier in September. The A10X chip that powers the current iPad Pro might get replaced by the A12 chip on the new iPad Pro. However, there’s a chance that the iPad Pro will feature the new A11X chip or the 7nm processor. Both of those options will provide better performance than the A12 considering Antutu benchmark scores, and expected to exceed 4,00,000 mark, which is exceptionally high.

Other Products

Going back to the September event, Apple was expected to launch multiple lines of products. However, against those expectations, Apple only ended up announcing a new range of iPhone models as well as the Apple Watch Series 4. However, with the October launch slated to happen, there could be releases for an updated Mac Mini and MacBooks as mentioned earlier (affordable and Air), MacBook Pro and iPad Pro.

There is yet no confirmation on the dates this October launch event could happen. Expect more information from Apple to come out weeks before the actual launch.
