LG has already sent media invitations for its next big launch slated to happen today, on October 03 in New York. The South Korean giants are all set to unveil their next flagship phone! The media invitation for the LG V40 ThinQ announced that LG would announce the smartphone at the New York event at 5 PM EDT (2:30 am IST) on October 3 and on the next day at the Science Park in Seoul’s Magok district at 10 am KST (6:40 am IST). The media invitation, however, adorned the text “Take 5” which refers to the five cameras set up in the upcoming flagship smartphone.
If the whole interpretation of “Take 5” is accurate, then it would be the first time we’d be seeing a smartphone with five cameras. Its a combination of a triple camera setup at the rear end of the phone and dual selfie cameras on the front. While it would be a first time a phone has five cameras, but the triple camera setup already exists with the Huawei P20 Pro released earlier this year, as well as Huawei’s next flagship models the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. However, the LG 40 ThinQ is set to rival the Huawei smartphones after its release, and we’ll find out what the smartphone is equipped with later. But first, let’s see what the media invites suggest.
LG V40 ThinQ: Launch Today
LG has been releasing news and teasers regarding the LG V40 ThinQ for some time now, as we had information earlier on the launch date. However, what we did not know was the location and the fact that there are now two launch events slated to happen in the next two days.
The first of it will happen in New York at 5 pm today, which Indian viewers could catch at 2.30 am IST. LG will hold the second launch event at the Science Park in Seoul’s Magok district at 10 am KST, which in India would be 6.30 am IST.

LG V40 ThinQ: What We Know So Far
As this is a flagship phone from LG, some premium specifications and features come with the smartphone. The brilliant camera set up on the LG V40 ThinQ is designed to excite their fans and compete with the best smartphones in the market at present. The LG V40 ThinQ will pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, as in the case of most flagship phones, with an Octa-core CPU alongside an Adreno 630 GPU. The LG V40 will run on Android 9 Pie onboard and will reportedly pack 6GB/8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

The exciting part of the LG V40 ThinQ is its camera set up. There are five cameras, including a triple camera set up at the back and dual selfie cameras at the front. At the rear end, LG has placed 20MP+16MP+13MP lens. Earlier we detailed how each camera on the LG V40 has a unique feature. At the back, there is a standard lens, a super-wide angle sensor and a telephoto sensor. On the front side, LG has an 8MP+5MP set up which features a standard lens and a wide-angle sensor.
The LG V40 ThinQ features a 6.4-inch P-OLED screen with QHD+ resolution of 3120×1440 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will carry a 3300mAh battery with fast charge compatibility and expected to carry wireless charging capabilities as well.
